【摘要】：《現(xiàn)在是你敞開心扉之際》(2004)是著名美國非裔女作家、普利策獎得主艾麗斯·沃克(1944-)的最新力作。這部小說以卡羅拉多河之旅、亞馬遜雨林之旅和夏威夷之旅三次“療傷”之旅為主線展開敘述,講述了一位57歲的女作家凱特·尼爾森尋求心靈平靜的故事。在這三次旅行中,凱特、尤羅和其他人物通過與“祖母”的交流,講述了他們不同的創(chuàng)傷經(jīng)歷,并最終走出創(chuàng)傷�！皠�(chuàng)傷”一詞來源于希臘,本意為“身體傷害”。現(xiàn)在,“創(chuàng)傷”多指心理創(chuàng)傷,即一種由嚴重的創(chuàng)傷事件而造成的心理損害。20世紀90年代以來,創(chuàng)傷理論常被用于文學批評實踐中。本論文運用卡西·卡魯斯和朱迪斯·赫爾曼的創(chuàng)傷理論觀點來解讀《現(xiàn)在是你敞開心扉之際》的創(chuàng)傷主題。《現(xiàn)在是你敞開心扉之際》充分體現(xiàn)了沃克對當今世界問題的思考以及她對現(xiàn)代人心理創(chuàng)傷的反思。首先,這部小說體現(xiàn)了沃克對囿于困境的受創(chuàng)者的人文關(guān)懷,這些受創(chuàng)者身份多元,包括黑人、白人、印第安人和夏威夷人。其次,在這部小說中,沃克不僅關(guān)心這些受創(chuàng)者身體和精神上的痛苦,而且也深入批判了給人們造成巨大身體和心理創(chuàng)傷的戰(zhàn)爭、霸權(quán)主義、種族滅絕、種族壓迫、性虐待、兒童虐待以及自然破壞等世界問題。再次,沃克指出受創(chuàng)者可以通過回歸自然走出創(chuàng)傷。在大自然中,他們可以通過與自然的交融和其他受創(chuàng)者的交流,敞開心扉,擺脫創(chuàng)傷的禁錮,獲得心靈的自由。
