【摘要】：本文對英漢動物習(xí)語中的概念隱喻進(jìn)行對比研究主要有三個目的。首先,對概念隱喻理論做出進(jìn)一步論證,并且論證概念隱喻在動物習(xí)語中大量存在。其次,通過搜集整理大量的英漢動物習(xí)語語料,提煉其中的概念隱喻,同時(shí)尋找英漢動物習(xí)語中概念隱喻的異同。最后,從文化和人類體驗(yàn)等方面探討導(dǎo)致這些異同的原因,并希望對英漢動物習(xí)語的學(xué)習(xí)給予一定的啟示。本文提出并回答了三個問題,即動物隱喻的分類是什么?動物隱喻映射的特質(zhì)是什么?英漢動物習(xí)語隱喻用法異同及造成這些異同的原因有哪些?作者首先通過查閱習(xí)語詞典并搜集大量英漢動物習(xí)語,進(jìn)而對這些動物習(xí)語中的概念隱喻進(jìn)行提煉,并將其分為結(jié)構(gòu)隱喻、本體隱喻和方位隱喻三大類。其中,結(jié)構(gòu)隱喻部分選取了包含英漢語中常見的六種動物的習(xí)語語料進(jìn)行概念隱喻提取和對比分析;動物習(xí)語中的本體隱喻又分為擬人和容器隱喻兩大類;方位隱喻在英漢動物習(xí)語中也有所體現(xiàn),但是相對于前兩者來說要少得多。在對英漢動物習(xí)語中概念隱喻進(jìn)行提煉和歸類之后,論文又對英漢動物習(xí)語的概念隱喻用法的異同點(diǎn)以及造成這些異同點(diǎn)的原因進(jìn)行了對比分析。結(jié)果發(fā)現(xiàn)“存在大連環(huán)”假說和相似的人類體驗(yàn)是造成英漢動物習(xí)語概念隱喻相似性的主要原因,而不同的自然環(huán)境、宗教、社會習(xí)俗以及世界觀是造成英漢動物習(xí)語隱喻用法不同之處的主要原因。本文以英漢動物習(xí)語為研究對象,以概念隱喻理論為理論框架,運(yùn)用了定性分析和描述解釋的研究方法,對所搜集語料進(jìn)行概念隱喻的對比研究。本文的主要發(fā)現(xiàn)有:英漢動物習(xí)語也能夠按照概念隱喻的類別進(jìn)行分類,而且英漢動物習(xí)語不僅僅來自于根隱喻“HUMAN BEINGS ARE ANIMALS”,還有相當(dāng)一部分動物習(xí)語概念隱喻屬于“INANIMATE THINGS ARE ANIMALS”的次類;拓展了動物習(xí)語概念隱喻的目標(biāo)域范圍;為人們更深層次地理解和掌握動物習(xí)語提供了新的思路,同時(shí)也驗(yàn)證了概念隱喻理論的合理性。與此同時(shí),論文也對人們學(xué)習(xí)英漢動物習(xí)語給予了一些啟示:如促進(jìn)英漢語言群體之間的交流;輔助外語教學(xué)過程;提高英漢動物習(xí)語翻譯水平。但是,由于材料和時(shí)間的有限性,本文還有很多不足之處需要進(jìn)一步提高和改進(jìn)。
[Abstract]:This paper makes a contrastive study of conceptual metaphors in animal idioms in English and Chinese for three purposes.Firstly, the theory of conceptual metaphor is further demonstrated, and the existence of conceptual metaphor in animal idioms is demonstrated.Secondly, by collecting and sorting out a large number of English-Chinese animal idioms, the conceptual metaphors are extracted, and the similarities and differences of conceptual metaphors between English and Chinese animal idioms are explored.Finally, this paper discusses the causes of these similarities and differences from the aspects of culture and human experience, and hopes to give some enlightenment to the study of animal idioms in English and Chinese.This paper puts forward and answers three questions: what is the classification of animal metaphors?What are the characteristics of animal metaphorical mapping?What are the similarities and differences in the metaphorical usage of animal idioms between English and Chinese and the reasons for these similarities and differences?Firstly, by consulting the idiom dictionary and collecting a large number of English and Chinese animal idioms, the author refines the conceptual metaphors in these animal idioms and classifies them into three categories: structural metaphor, ontological metaphor and orientation metaphor.In the part of structural metaphor, we select six kinds of animal idioms which are common in English and Chinese for conceptual metaphor extraction and contrastive analysis, and the ontology metaphors in animal idioms are divided into two categories: anthropomorphic metaphor and container metaphor.Orientation metaphors are also reflected in English and Chinese animal idioms, but are much less than the first two.After refining and classifying the conceptual metaphors in animal idioms, the paper makes a comparative analysis of the similarities and differences in the use of conceptual metaphors between English and Chinese animal idioms and the reasons for these similarities and differences.The results show that the hypothesis of "existence of Dalian Ring" and the similar human experience are the main reasons for the similarity of conceptual metaphors between English and Chinese animal idioms, while different natural environments, religions, etc.Social customs and world outlook are the main reasons for the differences in metaphorical usage of animal idioms between English and Chinese.Taking animal idioms in English and Chinese as the object of study, and taking the conceptual metaphor theory as the theoretical framework, this paper makes a comparative study of conceptual metaphors in the collected corpus by using qualitative analysis and descriptive interpretation methods.The main findings of this paper are as follows: English and Chinese animal idioms can also be classified according to the categories of conceptual metaphors, and English and Chinese animal idioms are not only derived from the root metaphor "HUMAN BEINGS ARE ANIMALS".There are also quite a number of conceptual metaphors of animal idioms, which belong to the subcategory of "INANIMATE THINGS ARE ANIMALS", expand the scope of target areas of conceptual metaphors of animal idioms, and provide new ideas for people to understand and master animal idioms at a deeper level.At the same time, it also verifies the rationality of conceptual metaphor theory.At the same time, the thesis also provides some enlightenment for people to learn animal idioms, such as promoting communication between English and Chinese language groups, assisting foreign language teaching process, and improving the level of translation of animal idioms between English and Chinese.However, due to the limitation of materials and time, there are still many deficiencies in this paper that need to be further improved.
