【摘要】： 隨著認知科學的發(fā)展，概念隱喻理論于20世紀80年代初興起，代表人物為Lakoff，Johnson，Gibbs等人。與傳統(tǒng)隱喻理論相比，概念隱喻論是基于主客觀相結合的經(jīng)驗主義的語言觀，而前者是基于客觀主義的語言觀；在方法上，前者是零碎的分析，后者是系統(tǒng)的研究；前者認為隱喻是一種修辭手段，是隱性的比較，完全不同與日常語言，后者認為隱喻是一種認知方式，是跨領域的映射，廣泛存在于日常語言之中。 文章分為六部分，繼第一章介紹之后，第二章重點介紹了傳統(tǒng)隱喻理論的形成過程和哲學基礎，以及20世紀初隱喻研究認知轉向的開始，，從而說明Lakoff等人隱喻觀的由來及其產(chǎn)生的必然性。第三章系統(tǒng)介紹了概念隱喻的定義，哲學基礎，特點及機制，指出概念隱喻有著深刻的經(jīng)驗基礎，系統(tǒng)地蘊含在日常表達之中，遵循一致性原則(Invariance Principle)和目標域優(yōu)先原則(Target Domain Overrides)。第四章闡釋了該理論在外語教學，尤其是詞匯教學中的應用，指出該理論在解釋多義詞，分析詞匯的文化內(nèi)涵，發(fā)掘詞匯間的相關性方面起著重要作用。第五章分析了其他學者對該理論的批評意見，并指出這些批評主要產(chǎn)生于不同的研究角度，Lakoff等人是從歷時的角度研究隱喻的，而批評者們往往從共時的角度進行探討。最后為總結部分，并建議對概念隱喻進行跨文化及教學方面的深入研究。
