【摘要】： 本文旨在研究交際者如何在交際中選擇不同的語言形式或交際策略順應(yīng)權(quán)力。文章以Verschueren(1999)提出的語言順應(yīng)理論為框架，收集了文學(xué)作品、電視劇和日常對話中的會話作為語料并對其進行定性的語用分析，研究交際者語言選擇中的變異性、順應(yīng)性和商討性以順應(yīng)制度化權(quán)力和語境化權(quán)力，進而達到成功的交際目的。 交際中的權(quán)勢關(guān)系隨著語境的變化而動態(tài)的變化，決定著語言形式和交際策略的選擇。交際者的權(quán)力來源于其地位、年齡、性別、專業(yè)知識、金錢等。交際中利用何種權(quán)力資源進行語言選擇要依靠語境而定。 語言能夠揭示和反映其背后的權(quán)力。語言是交際者用來影響和控制別人的一個象征性資源。本文將分析權(quán)力是如何在日常會話中得到商討，，權(quán)力被認為是一個動態(tài)的、相互的、共識的概念。語言形式的選擇發(fā)生在語言結(jié)構(gòu)的任何一個層面；交際策略受交際者和交際目的的支配。因此交際是一個有目的、被操縱、表達思想的過程。交際者利用權(quán)力資源進行交際以維持積極的人際關(guān)系并達到交際目的。本文不僅揭示權(quán)勢關(guān)系如何影響語言的選擇，語言選擇又是如何順應(yīng)各種類型的權(quán)力；而且揭示語言選擇背后的文化因素和交際動機。
