帶“眼睛”習語的認知語義研究

習語在語言中占有很大的比重,并且起著重要的作用。源自歷史、文化和人類的體驗的習語幾乎無處不在。國內和國外的語言學家對習語的研究由來已久。傳統(tǒng)的語言學研究認為,習語像詞匯一樣是約定俗成的語言表達方式,有其獨特的修辭功能、語用功能和獨立于概念體系的特定語義。對習語的傳統(tǒng)研究為習語的研究奠定了堅實的基礎,但是在對習語的深入研究中傳統(tǒng)研究存在一定的局限性。隨著認知語言學的發(fā)展,對習語的研究發(fā)生了認知轉向,許多語言學家開始用認知語言學的理論研究習語,他們認為習語的意義并非任意的,而是有理據的、可分析的。通過運用認知語言學理論對習語的分析,有利于人們理解成語的構造及其意義。本文將英語和漢語中帶“眼睛”的習語作為一個案例,嘗試用認知語言學的理論中的隱喻、轉喻、隱轉喻以及人們的日常經驗四個方面進行全面地分析。文中涉及的英語習語主要是固定詞組,不包含俚語和諺語。涉及的漢語習語主要是四字成語。通過認知語言學對眼睛習語意義構造的分析為其他與身體部位相關習語的研究提供一個新的思路。研究表明,帶“眼睛”習語的意義建構不是任意的,而是建立在認知語義機制上的。分析的結果顯示,在眼睛習語語義建構中,轉喻起著比隱喻更為重...
