　　本文依據(jù)目的論,綜合運(yùn)用理論闡述和翻譯描述等研究方法,分析和探討嚴(yán)復(fù)的學(xué)術(shù)化翻譯,旨在闡明中國傳統(tǒng)學(xué)術(shù)對嚴(yán)復(fù)翻譯行為、文本選擇以及翻譯方法的影響。本文從中國傳統(tǒng)學(xué)術(shù)來考查譯者翻譯活動(dòng),對探討翻譯與傳統(tǒng)學(xué)術(shù)的相互影響具有一定借鑒作用和新的啟示。 傳統(tǒng)學(xué)術(shù)思想與方法貫穿嚴(yán)復(fù)八大譯著,本文對其進(jìn)行系統(tǒng)梳理,主要從以下三個(gè)方面論述,即嚴(yán)復(fù)學(xué)術(shù)化翻譯行為、學(xué)術(shù)性文本選擇、學(xué)術(shù)化翻譯方法。首先,嚴(yán)復(fù)翻譯行為的學(xué)術(shù)化。傳統(tǒng)士大夫的學(xué)術(shù)方式之一是闡釋經(jīng)典,嚴(yán)復(fù)借助翻譯西方學(xué)術(shù)著作闡釋中國傳統(tǒng)儒家思想、老子思想和莊子思想,托“譯”言志。其次,嚴(yán)復(fù)對學(xué)術(shù)性文本的選擇。嚴(yán)復(fù)譯作涉及西方學(xué)術(shù)諸多領(lǐng)域,一方面宣傳進(jìn)化論的維新求變思想和西方邏輯學(xué),旨在引進(jìn)新思想,新方法；另一方面深刻反思中國傳統(tǒng)法制思想和經(jīng)濟(jì)思想,主要指出傳統(tǒng)中國律法中刑法民法不分以及傳統(tǒng)士大夫以言利為諱,從而導(dǎo)致人民沒有真正自由,經(jīng)濟(jì)思想未予重視。嚴(yán)復(fù)翻譯學(xué)術(shù)性文本目的明確,引進(jìn)與反思在譯本中交相輝映。最后,嚴(yán)復(fù)翻譯方法學(xué)術(shù)化。嚴(yán)譯的讀者大多為傳統(tǒng)士大夫,嚴(yán)復(fù)在翻譯中廣泛應(yīng)用考證、案語、正名等傳統(tǒng)學(xué)術(shù)方法,旨在使他的“學(xué)術(shù)”行為得到認(rèn)可,同時(shí)體...
