從認(rèn)知角度看隱喻在跨文化交際中的意義

  為促進(jìn)英語(yǔ)和漢語(yǔ)兩種文化之間的深入交流,本文從認(rèn)知角度聚焦英漢浪漫主義詩(shī)歌中的隱喻化表達(dá)方式。通過(guò)證實(shí)隱喻在兩種語(yǔ)言中所共同具有的認(rèn)知功能,揭示隱喻的重要跨文化交際意義。本研究的語(yǔ)料來(lái)自英漢浪漫主義文學(xué)代表詩(shī)人(中國(guó)的李白,英國(guó)的雪萊和美國(guó)的惠特曼)的詩(shī)歌作品集,采取隨機(jī)和系統(tǒng)兩種手段抽取樣本,建立起英漢兩個(gè)語(yǔ)料庫(kù)。在此基礎(chǔ)上,作者結(jié)合認(rèn)知語(yǔ)言學(xué)中對(duì)隱喻的相關(guān)描述,運(yùn)用深入內(nèi)容分析法,對(duì)樣本中的隱喻化表達(dá)方式進(jìn)行辨別和分類,整合出三種英漢共享的隱喻化表達(dá)模式:1)抽象事物投射為具體事物;2)物體投射為人;3)物體投射為物體。因此,本研究證實(shí)了東西方文化所共有的心智的體驗(yàn)性本質(zhì)和抽象思維的隱喻化表達(dá)方式,驗(yàn)證了人類思維的共性,證明了隱喻的重大跨文化交際意義。本研究還通過(guò)分析詩(shī)歌與隱喻的關(guān)系,揭示出隱喻的重要表達(dá)功能,再次肯定了隱喻的文學(xué)價(jià)值。最后,本文通過(guò)研究隱喻的應(yīng)用語(yǔ)言學(xué)功能,認(rèn)識(shí)到隱喻領(lǐng)先于語(yǔ)法等語(yǔ)言規(guī)約,是語(yǔ)言發(fā)展的先鋒,對(duì)于促進(jìn)跨文化交際的另一重要方面—語(yǔ)言習(xí)得具有重要意義。
