【摘要】：模糊語是一種社會語言現(xiàn)象，，更是一種文化現(xiàn)象，是文化在語言當(dāng)中的一種體現(xiàn)。模糊語又是人們在社會交際中為謀求理想的交際效果而創(chuàng)造的一種適當(dāng)?shù)恼Z言形式。它在社會交際中發(fā)揮著重要作用。日常的約定俗成的模糊語能起潤滑劑的作用，通過模糊語，可以避免語言過于直露而給對方造成傷害。它是語言使用中人們用來協(xié)調(diào)人際關(guān)系的有效潤滑劑，是保全交際各方面子的重要手段。因此，在現(xiàn)實(shí)生活中，有些事物或行為不宜直率的、確切地表達(dá)出來，這時就需要借助語言的模糊性來改變說法，避免直言造成的不愉快。研究表明，在跨文化交際日益頻繁的當(dāng)今世界，模糊語在各個領(lǐng)域都有廣泛的運(yùn)用，了解和掌握模糊語在社會交際中的有效運(yùn)用可以幫助人們減少語用失誤、減少文化沖突帶來的摩擦，從而進(jìn)一步促進(jìn)交流。 本文從語用學(xué)的角度，以合作原則、禮貌原則和面子論為理論基礎(chǔ)，采用舉例分析法，對中英模糊語在各個領(lǐng)域中的廣泛運(yùn)用進(jìn)行語用分析和研究。主要分析了中英模糊語是如何違反合作原則和遵循禮貌原則的；論述了合作原則和禮貌原則下中英模糊語在日常交際、商務(wù)談判、新聞報道及外交語言等方面中的廣泛運(yùn)用。通過以上分析可以看出只有恰當(dāng)?shù)氖褂媚：Z才能調(diào)整好禮貌程度，使個人文明和個人修養(yǎng)得到很好的體現(xiàn)，從而把給對方的傷害降到最低限度，達(dá)到成功的交際目的。 因此，本論文在前人的研究成果基礎(chǔ)之上，主要從語用分析的角度來論述中英模糊語在合作原則、禮貌原則和面子論下的有效運(yùn)用，可以發(fā)現(xiàn)模糊語的恰當(dāng)運(yùn)用可以達(dá)到刺激聽眾的興趣、提高靈活性、避免極端表達(dá)和提升適用性等語用功能。
