在傳統(tǒng)的翻譯研究中,著力于對原文及譯文的靜態(tài)對比,一篇譯文或譯著的質(zhì)量的評價或命運的批判,往往取決于它們與原文的關系。在世人的傳統(tǒng)觀念中,譯文在很大程度上是原文的一種“翻版”或“復制”,因此,譯文對原文的忠實就變得天經(jīng)地義了。必須承認,研究翻譯,譯文與原文的關系是不容忽視的一個重要課題,然而,無論是口譯還是筆譯,非文學翻譯還是文學翻譯,譯者在翻譯中都不可避免處在一個動態(tài)的活動場中,他所走的每一步,他所采取的每一個步驟,都不是完全孤立的。在整個翻譯活動中,譯者作為翻譯主體,無疑是最為活躍的因素,對翻譯起著舉足輕重的作用。20世紀八九十年代譯學研究經(jīng)歷了一場深刻的范式革命,在這個時期兩個重要標志是西方哲學的語言論轉向和翻譯理論界的“文化轉向”,此間翻譯由此譯者主體地位呼之欲出,傳統(tǒng)的翻譯評判標準“忠實”以及“對等”受到了前所未有的挑戰(zhàn)。 本文嘗試運用以德國哲學家伽達默爾為主要代表的現(xiàn)代哲學釋義學理論,研究對象是晚清翻譯家林紓譯作中顯現(xiàn)的主體性。眾所周知,任何翻譯都是從理解開始的,而哲學釋義學理論正是對意義的理解與闡釋的研究。在概述了現(xiàn)代哲學釋義學的偏見、視域融合以及效果歷史三大核...
