　　2009年10月24日，歷時五天的中國-東盟博覽會在南寧圓滿落下帷幕。本次博覽會的貿(mào)易總額又創(chuàng)新高。作為企業(yè),如何能在博覽會中更好地宣傳自己，提高產(chǎn)品的知名度并順利進(jìn)入國際市場，對外宣傳資料起著舉足輕重的作用；而對外宣傳資料的翻譯也由此更加值得關(guān)注。然而，從現(xiàn)有的對外宣傳資料中不難看出，措詞使用不當(dāng)、語法錯誤、“中式英語”以及暗含的文化沖突等問題在翻譯中比比皆是，不但削弱了對外宣傳的效果，對企業(yè)的自身形象也有所影響。因此，如何更好地發(fā)揮譯者主體性從而提高外宣資料的翻譯質(zhì)量十分重要。本文從該研究的背景、意義及框架等內(nèi)容出發(fā)，簡要綜述了譯者的地位在中西方翻譯歷史中逐漸得到提升的過程。本研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，在最初的翻譯歷史過程中，譯者的主體性已經(jīng)得到部分學(xué)者的認(rèn)可，而并非完全被原文本所“隱沒”；之后結(jié)合對功能主義目的論在西方以及在中國發(fā)展情況的概述，作者指出，功能主義目的論強(qiáng)調(diào)翻譯是一種有目的行為，譯者可根據(jù)譯文的預(yù)期功能與目的選擇適當(dāng)?shù)姆g方法與策略。作為原文讀者、描述者與譯文作者的譯者從傳統(tǒng)翻譯理論的“絕對忠誠”中解放出來并被賦予更多的權(quán)利處理文本。因此，該理論尤其適用于對外宣傳資料這種有明確目的...
