從接受理論視角看英漢雙語詞典的例證翻譯

雙語詞典相對單語詞典而言,其本質特征是對譯,即兩套符號的對應,因此它也通常被稱為翻譯詞典。英漢雙語詞典中的翻譯主要包括詞目翻譯和例證翻譯。詞目和例證翻譯的方法和策略各不相同。翻譯的質量直接影響和決定英漢雙語詞典的質量,但是,目前例證翻譯還存在一些問題。例證是雙語詞典的重要組成部分,例證可以更好地幫助學習者理解詞目的意義,提供詞匯的語義、語法、語用,甚至文化信息。在例證翻譯中,例證譯文不但要最大限度地重現(xiàn)源語例證所具的有功能,還要符合漢語的表達習慣,體現(xiàn)出英漢語言差異,有效地指導翻譯。目前,大多數(shù)例證翻譯研究以仍例證文本為中心,這限制了例證翻譯研究的進一步發(fā)展。本文首先總結了例證的功能和例證的翻譯功能,并將例證翻譯與文學翻譯作比較,探討了例證翻譯不同于其他文本翻譯的特點。本文接著引入接受理,從接受理論的視角研究英漢雙語的例證翻譯。本文旨在將例證的翻譯研究視角轉移到詞典接受者詞典用戶的上,在例證翻譯中本文更加注重詞典用戶的地位和需求。通過詞典用戶接受效果的研究,本文就如何提高英漢雙語詞典的例證翻譯質量提出建議,以期對例證的翻譯研究有所啟示。
