Chomsky （1981）提出了擴充的投射原則并將其規(guī)定為“句子必須要有主語”。在最簡句法的框架下,Chomsky （1995）又將EPP歸納為一種強特征,旨在滿足核查的需要。自從EPP被提出來的近30年里,該原則的理論地位就一直受到生成語法學家們的爭議。EPP支持者認為論元移動的終點以及論元移動中的[Spec, IP]都必須被填充以滿足EPP的位置,并且也從連續(xù)層階性（successive cyclicity）的論元移動,例外授格（Exceptional Case Marking）,there插入及提升等三方面闡述了EPP的理論動因。然而在最簡句法理論框架下,EPP只是一種強制性的結(jié)構(gòu)規(guī)定,不具有獨立動機,因此與其他有獨立動機的理論共存時則體現(xiàn)出它的冗余性。本文將在最簡句法框架下對EPP存在的理論動因進行深入探討,同時本文針對其理論動因提出了一些不需要訴諸于EPP的方案,包括取消論元鏈,基礎(chǔ)生成,there不移動等。EPP自身的理論動因受到挑戰(zhàn),因此它也將失去對語言解釋的充分性。與此同時,針對論元移動中的[Spec, IP]位置必須被填充以滿足EPP的要求,本文認為在一些情況下[S...
