政府記者招待會(huì)問答環(huán)節(jié)中的語篇隱喻研究
[Abstract]:The government press conference, especially the press conference of the head of government, is the highest specification, the most authoritative and the most news value among the press conferences of many categories. In today's world, governments always communicate with the media through government press conferences, spread information to the public, and expand their influence. Because of its direct, rich and authoritative information, it has become the object of study of language, politics, society, culture and other academic schools. In the study of discourse metaphor in English linguistics, scholars either carry out discourse analysis according to Halliday's functional grammar theory, metaphor analysis according to Lakoff's cognitive theory, or Martin's evaluation theory. This paper takes the government press conference as the research object, focusing on the question and answer session, using the conceptual metaphor theory and conceptual integration theory of cognitive linguistics, through qualitative research methods, to explain the construction of discourse metaphor, the similarities and differences of the characteristics of the use of metaphor, and the realization of metaphorical function in the government press conference. This paper studies metaphors at the textual level and holds that the cognition and understanding of textual metaphors can affect people's metaphorical thinking. In this regard, the following research questions are put forward: how is discourse metaphor constructed in government press conferences? What is their role? What are the similarities and differences between the two sides in the question and answer session using textual metaphor? And what are the reasons for the similarities and differences? On the basis of conceptual metaphor and conceptual integration theory, this paper analyzes the various functions of textual metaphor, such as cognitive function, linguistic function, communication function, meaning expansion and creation function, and analyzes the dynamic construction of textual metaphor through case studies. At the same time, there are similarities and differences in the use of discourse metaphor between the two sides in the question and answer session. The differences are mainly caused by political context, political purpose and other reasons. In a word, this paper proves that conceptual metaphor theory and conceptual integration theory are effective in understanding metaphor in political discourse.
