批評話語分析的認(rèn)知語言學(xué)研究:基于中美關(guān)于“脫北者”問題的對比性研究

【摘要】:作為當(dāng)今語言學(xué)流派中發(fā)展迅速的兩個流派,認(rèn)知語言學(xué)和批評話語分析都產(chǎn)生于二十世紀(jì)七十年代末,并逐步發(fā)展成為當(dāng)今相當(dāng)有影響力的語言學(xué)研究范式。批評話語分析是應(yīng)用語言學(xué)特有的一個分支,相關(guān)的研究學(xué)者有Fowler,Fairclough, van Dijk和Wodak等。批評話語分析研究意識形態(tài),身份及不平等性是如何通過語篇來表現(xiàn)的,,它是語篇分析的一種研究方法。在批評話語分析中,意識形態(tài)是建立和維持不平等權(quán)力關(guān)系的重要手段。由于我們每個人的經(jīng)歷有限,我們對特定社會及政治現(xiàn)實(shí)的認(rèn)知形成,并將其社會化的過程都是通過語篇,而非直接的感知和互動。 批評話語分析傳統(tǒng)上采用的是韓禮德的系統(tǒng)功能語法(1985),這一理論主要關(guān)注社會結(jié)構(gòu)中的語言功能,忽略了語言使用的主觀認(rèn)知。批評話語分析研究主要是揭示話語和句子是如何表現(xiàn)出意識形態(tài)的推理性實(shí)踐。而認(rèn)知語言學(xué)主要研究話語和句子是如何通過概念隱喻,心理空間,概念整合網(wǎng)絡(luò)來表達(dá)我們的思想。批評話語分析和認(rèn)知語言學(xué)在這一點(diǎn)上是一致的。而認(rèn)知語言學(xué)本身是語言分析的一種框架,它可以為批評話語分析提供新的研究框架,來識別和分析語篇中所操縱的語言和心理策略。 批評話語分析的研究對象主要是大眾語篇。批評話語分析當(dāng)中,語言不再如其它語言學(xué)派所宣稱的那樣,是一種客觀透明的傳播媒介,而是一種社會過程的介入力量。也就是說,語篇的使用是帶有某種目的性的。在批評話語分析當(dāng)中,確實(shí)有特定的策略可以用來實(shí)現(xiàn)語篇當(dāng)中的目的,尤其是政治語篇。本文中所提及的兩種策略都可以通過隱喻的使用來實(shí)現(xiàn)。而隱喻之前被主流的批評話語分析所忽視。本文將批評話語分析與隱喻結(jié)合,增強(qiáng)這一研究的系統(tǒng)性。 應(yīng)用新的分析框架,本文選取了中美兩國對于“脫北者”問題的相關(guān)報(bào)道,并對它們進(jìn)行了詳細(xì)的批評性研究分析。通過對語篇的分析,揭示了中美兩國報(bào)道中所隱含的意識形態(tài)。即使是對于同一個事件的報(bào)道,由于兩國的立場不同,所以體現(xiàn)出來的認(rèn)識與態(tài)度完全不同。
[Abstract]:Cognitive linguistics and critical discourse analysis, two of the rapidly developing schools of linguistics, emerged in the late 1970s and gradually developed into influential linguistic research paradigms. Critical discourse analysis (CDA) is a branch of applied linguistics. Relevant scholars include Fowler Faircloud, van Dijk and Wodak. Critical discourse analysis, which studies how ideology, identity and inequality are expressed by discourse, is a research method of discourse analysis. In critical discourse analysis, ideology is an important means to establish and maintain unequal power relations. Due to the limited experience of each of us, our cognition of specific social and political realities is formed and socialized through discourse rather than direct perception and interaction. Halliday's systemic functional Grammar (1985) is traditionally adopted in critical discourse analysis. This theory focuses on the linguistic function in the social structure and neglects the subjective cognition of language use. The research of critical discourse analysis is mainly to reveal how words and sentences show the rational practice of ideology. Cognitive linguistics mainly studies how words and sentences express our thoughts through conceptual metaphor, mental space and conceptual integration network. Critical discourse analysis and cognitive linguistics are consistent on this point. Cognitive linguistics itself is a framework for language analysis, which can provide a new research framework for critical discourse analysis to identify and analyze linguistic and psychological strategies manipulated in discourse. The research object of critical discourse analysis is mainly popular discourse. In critical discourse analysis, language is no longer an objective and transparent medium as claimed by other linguistic schools, but a force of intervention in social processes. That is to say, the use of text is purposeful. In critical discourse analysis, there are certain strategies that can be used to achieve the purpose of discourse, especially political discourse. The two strategies mentioned in this paper can be implemented through the use of metaphor. Metaphor is ignored by the mainstream critical discourse analysis. This paper combines critical discourse analysis with metaphor to enhance the systematization of this study. Using the new analytical framework, this paper selects the relevant reports on the issue of "defectors" in China and the United States, and makes a detailed critical analysis of them. Through the analysis of the discourse, it reveals the ideology implied in the reports of China and the United States. Even reports of the same incident, because the two countries have different positions, so reflect a completely different understanding and attitude.
