【摘要】：戴維特認(rèn)為,語(yǔ)義整體論是一種切近于語(yǔ)言哲學(xué)、心理學(xué)和人工智能中正統(tǒng)學(xué)說(shuō)的東西,但它是明顯錯(cuò)誤的,因?yàn)榘衙總�(gè)語(yǔ)言或心理符號(hào)的意義看成由它推理屬性的完整集合構(gòu)成。因此,他辯護(hù)了一種語(yǔ)義局部論觀點(diǎn),這是一種更溫和的“分子局部論”主張,認(rèn)為一個(gè)符號(hào)的一些推理屬性構(gòu)成了它的意義。戴維特之所以這樣做,原因在于：首先,他認(rèn)為語(yǔ)義整體論卷入了一種他稱為“笛卡爾式的”意義可及性觀點(diǎn)。按照這種觀點(diǎn),我們擁有處理意義以及有關(guān)于意義事實(shí)的特許路徑,甚至擁有意義本質(zhì)的特許知識(shí)。其次,傳統(tǒng)的概念被認(rèn)為擁有大量令人討厭的結(jié)果。例如,在傳統(tǒng)的分析-綜合區(qū)分中,有些東西被先驗(yàn)地知道,這些東西不能被看成是錯(cuò)誤的。在對(duì)空想哲學(xué)的批判中,戴維特思考了“什么是語(yǔ)義學(xué)的任務(wù)?為什么它們值得研究?我們?nèi)绾螌?shí)現(xiàn)它們?”等問(wèn)題,提出了一種“自然主義”的觀點(diǎn)——它意味著并不存在任何的先驗(yàn)知識(shí),經(jīng)驗(yàn)方法是認(rèn)識(shí)的唯一方式,也是科學(xué)的基礎(chǔ)。戴維特對(duì)語(yǔ)義學(xué)任務(wù)的闡明來(lái)自于他就這一學(xué)科本質(zhì)而提出的方案,他擔(dān)憂大多數(shù)的語(yǔ)義理論化隱含地依賴于語(yǔ)義任務(wù)的明顯特設(shè)觀點(diǎn)。因而并不懷疑在語(yǔ)義學(xué)中需要一種自然主義的科學(xué)理論,認(rèn)為語(yǔ)義學(xué)應(yīng)是一門有關(guān)于意義的經(jīng)驗(yàn)科學(xué),意義能以科學(xué)方式來(lái)研究。他尋求給出語(yǔ)義學(xué)研究的一種特定方案——在科學(xué)上有吸引力、解決語(yǔ)義爭(zhēng)議并能指引語(yǔ)義研究的未來(lái)過(guò)程的實(shí)質(zhì)論題——這就是戴維特提出的自然主義語(yǔ)義學(xué)的方法論。
[Abstract]:Davitt believes that semantic holism is something close to orthodoxy in linguistic philosophy, psychology, and artificial intelligence, but it is clearly wrong. Because the meaning of each language or mental symbol is made up of a complete set of reasoning attributes. Therefore, he defends a kind of semantic localism, which is a milder "molecular localism" proposition that some inferential attributes of a symbol constitute its meaning. The reason for this is that, first of all, he believes that semantic holism is involved in what he calls "Cartesian" meaning accessibility. According to this view, we have chartered paths to deal with meaning and facts of meaning, and even chartered knowledge of the essence of meaning. Second, traditional concepts are considered to have a lot of annoying results. For example, in traditional analysis-synthesis distinctions, some things are priori known that they cannot be considered wrong. In his critique of utopian philosophy, Davitt pondered "what is the task of semantics?" Why are they worth studying? How do we achieve them? " It means that there is no prior knowledge, and the method of experience is the only way of cognition and the basis of science. Deweitt's explanation of semantic task comes from his scheme on the nature of this discipline, and he worries that most semantic theorization implicitly depends on the obvious special point of view of semantic task. Therefore, there is no doubt that there is a need for a naturalistic scientific theory in semantics. It is believed that semantics should be an empirical science with meaning, and meaning can be studied in a scientific way. He sought to give a specific scheme for semantic research, which is scientifically attractive, to resolve semantic disputes and to guide the future process of semantic research, which is the methodology of naturalist semantics put forward by Davitt.
