【摘要】： 歷史上有無數(shù)的例子證明中國的詩歌翻譯對中國新詩的發(fā)展起著巨大的促進作用，并對我國詩歌的發(fā)展有著深遠的影響，表現(xiàn)在思想、形式和語言諸多層面上。毫無疑問，詩歌翻譯研究是譯學(xué)研究的重要內(nèi)容之一。而針對詩歌翻譯史的專項研究，則既是翻譯史研究的具體內(nèi)容之一，又是詩歌翻譯研究的重要領(lǐng)域，同時也是對我國新詩發(fā)展軌跡的追溯和反思。 為了真實而又全面地總結(jié)中國詩歌翻譯史，充分展現(xiàn)中華民族悠久的翻譯史及其燦爛的成果，同時加快翻譯史研究的步伐，本文作者在通覽國內(nèi)專家學(xué)者的相關(guān)論著后，進行了大量調(diào)查和原始資料收集工作，借鑒國內(nèi)外相關(guān)專業(yè)學(xué)者的研究方法并加以改進，對中國詩歌翻譯的前一百年(1864年至1966年)進行了簡要的概述，試圖對詩歌翻譯史進行較為細致具體的論述，以期填補翻譯史研究中的一項空白，為翻譯學(xué)的研究做出一點貢獻。 文章以詩歌翻譯活動事實為基礎(chǔ)，以翻譯史發(fā)展脈絡(luò)為主線，按照歷史發(fā)展順序，全面詳盡地對史料進行分析。作者通過計算機對各階段史料數(shù)據(jù)進行科學(xué)地統(tǒng)計處理，借助圖表數(shù)據(jù)明晰地再現(xiàn)各階段發(fā)展內(nèi)容；并注意將翻譯活動置于不同的歷史階段中觀照，，既突出不同階段有代表性的翻譯家的貢獻，又分析了社會發(fā)展和需求對翻譯的推動和選擇作用。各階段聯(lián)系緊密，相互照應(yīng)，顯示出連貫與動態(tài)的歷史發(fā)展。 除此之外，作者還力圖做到有史有論。在文中主要探討了以下幾個問題：闡明詩歌翻譯的發(fā)展歷史，初步確立了詩歌翻譯史的大致輪廓；劃分詩歌翻譯史的三大階段，并概括了每個階段的基本特征；梳理各個時期的翻譯家及其重要譯作，重點評介名家名譯及其翻譯主張，反映階段性特色；通過翻譯實踐的研究，明確詩歌翻譯發(fā)展的基本進程，詩歌翻譯理論的發(fā)展脈絡(luò)，翻譯方法和技巧的創(chuàng)新和演變；探討各階段翻譯主張間的相互影響和歷史承接 性，從而豐富翻譯史研究的內(nèi)容。除了上面一些階段性的討論外，對整個 100年的詩歌翻譯進程來說，我們還可以得到下面三個結(jié)論。一、詩歌翻譯 逐漸成為文學(xué)翻譯的一個有嚴格界定的獨立分支，而不再是其他文學(xué)翻譯形 式的附屬物。二、翻譯技巧與理論逐漸成熟。爭論與流派相繼出現(xiàn)，繼而具 有自身特色的科學(xué)性和系統(tǒng)性。三、對本土文化產(chǎn)生巨大影響，尤其對中國 新詩的發(fā)展促進尤為顯著，包括語言、形式和立意等諸多方面。 綜觀我國英美詩歌翻譯，所涉及到的人文現(xiàn)象是極其豐富的。它不僅是 歷史的事實，也是歷史進程的積極演繹軌跡。這是一個必須訴諸歷史才能說 明的問題，詩歌翻譯的一切變化無不與時代和環(huán)境的變化有關(guān)，與譯者隊伍 的更新、譯作共享范圍的擴大、漢語言的演變、對外來文化的接受與過濾及 審美鑒賞能力的提高等等現(xiàn)實條件有關(guān)。正是中國的現(xiàn)實決定著對外國詩歌 翻譯的歷史取向，決定著它發(fā)展的階段性和不平衡性。所以，外國詩歌的翻 譯不是一個自我封閉的靜態(tài)系統(tǒng)，而是一個不斷自我調(diào)整和適應(yīng)的開放系 統(tǒng)，它并不把己完成的譯詩看作完滿靜止的結(jié)局，在它的發(fā)展歷程中已達到 的目的只是正在消失的環(huán)節(jié)，而超越和淘汰才是藝術(shù)__L的成功。外國詩歌在 中國現(xiàn)代的翻譯介紹的歷史，正是如此發(fā)展過來的，也將繼續(xù)這樣發(fā)展下去， 我們只有對這一歷史有了正確的認識和理解，才能更自覺地做好外國詩歌的 翻譯介紹工作，為我國的文化建設(shè)做出應(yīng)有的貢獻。
