概念隱喻框架下《金瓶梅》兩個(gè)英譯本對(duì)比研究

【摘要】:隱喻不但是一種修辭手段,還是一種思維方式,是人類(lèi)認(rèn)知世界的產(chǎn)物。作為一種思維和認(rèn)知過(guò)程,隱喻的本質(zhì)是概念的,其實(shí)質(zhì)是一個(gè)概念域到另一個(gè)概念域的映射,其形成過(guò)程中受到不同民族認(rèn)知體驗(yàn)及民族文化的影響。因此,隱喻的翻譯不僅涉及到具體隱喻中的本體,喻體和喻底,更與源語(yǔ)和目的語(yǔ)的文化內(nèi)涵和思維方式息息相關(guān)。隱喻性是文學(xué)作品的基本特征之一,其隱喻主要表現(xiàn)在情景、敘事、對(duì)話、描寫(xiě)、心理、抒情、想象、理趣等方面,因此研究文學(xué)翻譯就不能不研究其隱喻翻譯。 除引言和結(jié)論外,本論文共由三章組成。引言部分指出了進(jìn)行該項(xiàng)研究的原因和方法,以及本論文的重要性及創(chuàng)新之處;第一章簡(jiǎn)要介紹了中外學(xué)者對(duì)隱喻及隱喻翻譯的研究;第二章論述了概念隱喻理論的工作機(jī)制,分類(lèi)以及整體的翻譯策略;第三章以《金瓶梅》的兩個(gè)英語(yǔ)全譯本為研究個(gè)案,研究了《金瓶梅》中概念隱喻與其概念內(nèi)涵的關(guān)系分析總結(jié)了兩位譯者對(duì)文本中概念隱喻翻譯策略和方法的選擇,集中審視了隱喻翻譯過(guò)程中不同譯者如何在目的語(yǔ)文本中具體建構(gòu)隱喻意義、激活隱喻情感、保留隱喻文化寓意,從而得出譯者的翻譯偏好及不同策略的翻譯效果;結(jié)論部分對(duì)研究的發(fā)現(xiàn)進(jìn)行了總結(jié),并指出了本研究存在的不足之處,提出了對(duì)未來(lái)研究的建議。
[Abstract]:Metaphor is not only a rhetorical device, but also a way of thinking. As a process of thinking and cognition, the essence of metaphor is conceptual, its essence is the mapping from one concept domain to another, and its formation process is influenced by the cognitive experience and culture of different nationalities. Therefore, the translation of metaphor involves not only the Noumenon, the vehicle and the background of the specific metaphor, but also the cultural connotation and the mode of thinking of the source language and the target language. Metaphorism is one of the basic features of literary works. Its metaphors are mainly expressed in the aspects of scene, narration, dialogue, description, psychology, lyricism, imagination, interest and so on. Therefore, it is necessary to study the metaphorical translation of literary translation. In addition to the introduction and conclusions, this paper consists of three chapters. The introduction points out the reasons and methods of the study, and the importance and innovation of this thesis. Chapter one briefly introduces the studies of metaphor and metaphor translation by Chinese and foreign scholars. Chapter two discusses the working mechanism, classification and translation strategies of conceptual metaphor theory. Chapter three takes two English versions of Jin Ping Mei as a case study and analyzes the relationship between conceptual metaphors and their conceptual connotations in Jin Ping Mei and summarizes the two translators' choice of translation strategies and methods for conceptual metaphors in the text. This paper focuses on how different translators construct metaphorical meanings, activate metaphorical emotions and retain metaphorical cultural connotations in the target language texts in the process of metaphorical translation, so as to obtain the translation preferences of translators and the translation effects of different strategies. The conclusion summarizes the findings of the study, points out the shortcomings of this study, and puts forward some suggestions for future research.
