【摘要】：作為20世紀(jì)美國最有影響力的詩人之一，艾茲拉·龐德對(duì)美國詩歌的貢獻(xiàn)不僅在于他是一位杰出的詩人，而且還在于他是優(yōu)秀的翻譯家。1912年，龐德在美國東方研究家歐內(nèi)斯特·費(fèi)諾羅薩遺稿的基礎(chǔ)上選譯了19首中國古詩，于1915年出版了譯詩集《神州集》。該詩集在西方廣為傳播，受到高度的評(píng)價(jià)及贊譽(yù)，為中國詩歌甚至中國文化在西方的傳播起到了極大的作用。然而，在贊譽(yù)的同時(shí)也有不少質(zhì)疑甚至貶損。在一些評(píng)論家贊揚(yáng)龐德在《神州集》中的創(chuàng)造性翻譯及其濃郁的異域風(fēng)情的同時(shí)，也有一些評(píng)論家指責(zé)其文字語法上的錯(cuò)誤(其中部分是源于費(fèi)氏的筆記)。 本文從目的論的角度出發(fā)，重新審視了龐德的譯作《神州集》，，剖析了龐德翻譯中國古典詩歌時(shí)明確的翻譯目的，及由其明確的翻譯目的而決定的翻譯策略和方法。通過追溯龐德翻譯時(shí)的思維過程，進(jìn)而探索《神州集》飽受中國學(xué)者非議的原因，給予其譯作一個(gè)客觀的評(píng)價(jià)。但是，我們必須承認(rèn)龐德的《神州集》是中國古典詩歌在全新的英語世界獲得第一次成功，經(jīng)實(shí)際檢驗(yàn)十分成功的目的論為翻譯實(shí)踐提供了重要的理論依據(jù)。此外，本文在微觀方面細(xì)讀該詩集并與原作進(jìn)行比較，通過具體例證分析了龐德的翻譯技巧及對(duì)文化元素的處理，為該詩集的廣泛接受和贊譽(yù)分析了原因。 本文還針對(duì)龐德翻譯中的文化誤讀做了詳細(xì)的分析，對(duì)如何看待和評(píng)價(jià)龐德在中美文化交流中的作用做出了論述。最后介紹了龐德的翻譯實(shí)踐《神州集》的影響，評(píng)論家們普遍認(rèn)為，《神州集》是龐德史詩性巨著《詩章》的底稿，其詩歌技巧、詩學(xué)特點(diǎn)和文化因素對(duì)龐德個(gè)人的文學(xué)生涯乃至美國現(xiàn)代文學(xué)都產(chǎn)生了巨大的影響。此外，其后的翻譯理論研究與翻譯實(shí)踐也大大受益于龐氏的翻譯實(shí)踐。
[Abstract]:As one of the most influential American poets in the 20th century, Ezra pound contributed to American poetry not only because he was an outstanding poet, but also because he was a good translator. Pound selected and translated 19 ancient Chinese poems on the basis of the manuscripts of Ernest Finolosa, an American oriental researcher. In 1915, he published an anthology of translated poems, the Collection of God's Land. The anthology of poems is widely disseminated in the West and highly appraised and praised. It has played a great role in the spread of Chinese poetry and even Chinese culture in the West. However, there are many doubts and even derogations at the same time of praise. While some critics praise pound for his creative translation and his rich exotic style in "the Divine Land", some critics accuse him of grammatical errors (some of them originated from Fay's notes). From the perspective of Skopos theory, this paper reexamines pound's translation of "Shenzhou Collection", and analyzes his definite translation purpose in translating Chinese classical poetry, and the translation strategies and methods determined by his definite translation purpose. By tracing back to the thinking process of pound's translation, this paper explores the reasons why the "Shenzhou Collection" has been criticized by Chinese scholars, and gives an objective evaluation of his translation. However, we must admit that pound's "Shenzhou Collection" is the first time that Chinese classical poetry has achieved its first success in the new English-speaking world. The Skopos theory, which has been proved to be very successful in practice, provides an important theoretical basis for translation practice. In addition, this paper makes a detailed study of the collection of poems in the microscopic aspect and compares it with the original one. Through concrete examples, this paper analyzes pound's translation skills and the treatment of cultural elements, and analyzes the reasons for the wide acceptance and praise of the anthology of poetry. This paper also makes a detailed analysis of cultural misreading in pound's translation, and discusses how to treat and evaluate pound's role in the cultural exchange between China and the United States. In the end, the author introduces the influence of pound's translation practice on the collection of Shenzhou. Critics generally think that the collection of Shenzhou is the manuscript of Poems, his poetic skills, and his poetic skills. Poetic characteristics and cultural factors have exerted great influence on pound's personal literary career as well as modern American literature. In addition, the subsequent translation theory and translation practice also greatly benefited from Ponzi's translation practice.
