【摘要】：英國(guó)詩(shī)人T S艾略特的長(zhǎng)詩(shī)《荒原》是西方文學(xué)史上的杰出作品,被譽(yù)為“現(xiàn)代派詩(shī)歌的里程碑”。全詩(shī)共433行，涉及英、德、希臘、拉丁等多種語(yǔ)言，宗教典故、神話傳說(shuō)以及各種經(jīng)典作品的引用達(dá)百余處�！痘脑吠黄屏藗鹘y(tǒng)詩(shī)歌的題材和形式，表現(xiàn)出龐大復(fù)雜的思想內(nèi)容和獨(dú)特的表現(xiàn)手法。 該詩(shī)自1922年發(fā)表后，，不僅在西方學(xué)界引起巨大轟動(dòng)，而且贏得了廣大中國(guó)詩(shī)人和譯界名家的厚愛(ài)。從20世紀(jì)30年代至今，《荒原》的中譯本已出了不下十種。國(guó)內(nèi)已有不少學(xué)者對(duì)《荒原》譯本加以關(guān)注并進(jìn)行研究，但這些研究大多停留在分析譯文準(zhǔn)確性、比較譯本優(yōu)劣等方面�！痘脑犯鱾�(gè)譯本產(chǎn)生的時(shí)代文化背景、譯者對(duì)現(xiàn)代主義的解讀以及譯本對(duì)當(dāng)時(shí)中國(guó)現(xiàn)代主義詩(shī)歌的影響等問(wèn)題未能引起學(xué)術(shù)界的足夠重視。 本文在前人研究的基礎(chǔ)上，對(duì)《荒原》在中國(guó)長(zhǎng)達(dá)七十多年的譯介情況進(jìn)行梳理，將其分為20世紀(jì)30年代至40年代、50年代至70年代、80年代至今三個(gè)時(shí)期。選取大陸和臺(tái)灣四個(gè)具有代表性的譯本，詳細(xì)闡述各個(gè)譯本產(chǎn)生的文學(xué)語(yǔ)境；分析不同時(shí)期、不同地域譯者的翻譯策略及譯本特點(diǎn)，探討譯者的詩(shī)學(xué)觀念和對(duì)現(xiàn)代主義的理解；歸納各個(gè)譯本對(duì)當(dāng)時(shí)中國(guó)現(xiàn)代主義詩(shī)歌的貢獻(xiàn)，考察譯本如何服務(wù)地域文學(xué)。
