【摘要】：在傳統(tǒng)的翻譯研究中,翻譯僅僅被看作為兩種語言文字之間的相互轉(zhuǎn)換,將原文看作譯文的絕對標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。而由德國功能派翻譯理論發(fā)展而來的目的論將翻譯行為視為有目的的跨文化交際活動。翻譯的目的不同、目標(biāo)讀者不同,翻譯時所采取的策略和方法也應(yīng)不同,換言之,翻譯的目的決定翻譯的方法。文本翻譯在翻譯過程中受到各種因素的綜合制約,譯文是否充分地實現(xiàn)了翻譯的目的是評判翻譯優(yōu)劣的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。這正是翻譯目的論的基本思想。 本文以德國功能主義的翻譯目的論為主要理論基礎(chǔ),以五四時期翻譯家趙景深和當(dāng)代兒童文學(xué)家葉君健的《安徒生童話》兩個譯本為案例,從目的論的角度對《安徒生童話》譯本的語言翻譯進(jìn)行研究。本文主要從譯者目的、詞匯翻譯、句式翻譯和修辭轉(zhuǎn)換等方面進(jìn)行了詳細(xì)的對比研究,探討兩種譯本所采用的翻譯方法和翻譯策略。研究表明,在翻譯過程中,譯者基于不同的翻譯目的采取了不同的翻譯策略,從而使譯文呈現(xiàn)出不同的翻譯風(fēng)格,取得不同的翻譯效果�？傮w而言,兩種譯本都實現(xiàn)了翻譯的目的,基本滿足了不同讀者的需求,因此都被當(dāng)代讀者接受。 本文精選《安徒生童話》兩種譯本中28個翻譯實例進(jìn)行了對比分析,得出如下結(jié)論: A.受時代背景和文化背景的影響,譯者的翻譯目的存在著差異。 B.由于不同的目的,譯者在翻譯過程中采取了不同的翻譯手法,對特義詞、稱呼語和通俗用語等詞語的翻譯,對長短句的翻譯和對比喻、諷刺、幽默和詩情用語等修辭的表現(xiàn)手法的處理有很大區(qū)別。 C.目的論對翻譯行為有深遠(yuǎn)的指導(dǎo)意義。 總之,對于一篇譯作的評價不能只基于原文文本和譯文文本之間單純語言文字方面的對比,我們更應(yīng)關(guān)注譯文是否充分實現(xiàn)了翻譯的目的,是否和當(dāng)時的時代和文化背景相呼應(yīng),是否能夠被當(dāng)時的讀者群所接受,從而做出更為全面、合理的評價。
