【摘要】：在傳統(tǒng)的翻譯研究中,翻譯僅僅被看作為兩種語(yǔ)言文字之間的相互轉(zhuǎn)換,將原文看作譯文的絕對(duì)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。而由德國(guó)功能派翻譯理論發(fā)展而來(lái)的目的論將翻譯行為視為有目的的跨文化交際活動(dòng)。翻譯的目的不同、目標(biāo)讀者不同,翻譯時(shí)所采取的策略和方法也應(yīng)不同,換言之,翻譯的目的決定翻譯的方法。文本翻譯在翻譯過(guò)程中受到各種因素的綜合制約,譯文是否充分地實(shí)現(xiàn)了翻譯的目的是評(píng)判翻譯優(yōu)劣的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。這正是翻譯目的論的基本思想。 本文以德國(guó)功能主義的翻譯目的論為主要理論基礎(chǔ),以五四時(shí)期翻譯家趙景深和當(dāng)代兒童文學(xué)家葉君健的《安徒生童話(huà)》兩個(gè)譯本為案例,從目的論的角度對(duì)《安徒生童話(huà)》譯本的語(yǔ)言翻譯進(jìn)行研究。本文主要從譯者目的、詞匯翻譯、句式翻譯和修辭轉(zhuǎn)換等方面進(jìn)行了詳細(xì)的對(duì)比研究,探討兩種譯本所采用的翻譯方法和翻譯策略。研究表明,在翻譯過(guò)程中,譯者基于不同的翻譯目的采取了不同的翻譯策略,從而使譯文呈現(xiàn)出不同的翻譯風(fēng)格,取得不同的翻譯效果�？傮w而言,兩種譯本都實(shí)現(xiàn)了翻譯的目的,基本滿(mǎn)足了不同讀者的需求,因此都被當(dāng)代讀者接受。 本文精選《安徒生童話(huà)》兩種譯本中28個(gè)翻譯實(shí)例進(jìn)行了對(duì)比分析,得出如下結(jié)論: A.受時(shí)代背景和文化背景的影響,譯者的翻譯目的存在著差異。 B.由于不同的目的,譯者在翻譯過(guò)程中采取了不同的翻譯手法,對(duì)特義詞、稱(chēng)呼語(yǔ)和通俗用語(yǔ)等詞語(yǔ)的翻譯,對(duì)長(zhǎng)短句的翻譯和對(duì)比喻、諷刺、幽默和詩(shī)情用語(yǔ)等修辭的表現(xiàn)手法的處理有很大區(qū)別。 C.目的論對(duì)翻譯行為有深遠(yuǎn)的指導(dǎo)意義。 總之,對(duì)于一篇譯作的評(píng)價(jià)不能只基于原文文本和譯文文本之間單純語(yǔ)言文字方面的對(duì)比,我們更應(yīng)關(guān)注譯文是否充分實(shí)現(xiàn)了翻譯的目的,是否和當(dāng)時(shí)的時(shí)代和文化背景相呼應(yīng),是否能夠被當(dāng)時(shí)的讀者群所接受,從而做出更為全面、合理的評(píng)價(jià)。
