《白象似的群山》中的跨性別交際失誤分析

本文綜合運用伯明翰學(xué)派話語分析、禮貌原則、合作原則和批評性語篇分析方法,對海明威的短篇故事《白象似的群山》中男女主人公的言語行為進(jìn)行了分析,旨在揭示跨性別交際失誤的產(chǎn)生過程及其潛在的社會文化因素。 本研究選取此故事中14段對話,從交際目的、方式及內(nèi)容三方面入手進(jìn)行分析男女主人公的言語行為,指出跨性別交際失誤不僅是由于彼此言語行為的不同,也是由于彼此社會地位的差異導(dǎo)致的。同時,本研究總結(jié)了容易產(chǎn)生跨性別交際失誤的區(qū)域和修復(fù)方法。女性方面,應(yīng)該意識到自己在交際中的地位,并設(shè)法達(dá)到交際目的。同時,男性也需要根據(jù)不同的語境調(diào)整自己的話語風(fēng)格。 此項研究有助于人們對日常交際的理解,從而減少交際失誤的發(fā)生。女性應(yīng)該學(xué)會運用交際策略,實現(xiàn)其交際目的。對《白象似的群山》中男女主人公言語行為的分析有助于人們更客觀地理解文學(xué)語言,對文學(xué)欣賞具有一定的借鑒意義;在英語教學(xué)中,教師應(yīng)當(dāng)幫助學(xué)生們意識到語言使用的性別差異,提高其跨性別交際能力。
