【摘要】：稱呼語是言語交際中傳遞給聽話人的第一信息，它能夠建立、維持、加強交際行為參與者之間的關系，而稱呼語的使用恰當與否往往會決定言語交際是否成功。由于英漢文化的差異，英漢稱呼語的表達也存在巨大的差異。 根據維索爾倫的語用縱觀順應論，使用語言是在不同的意識程度下為滿足交際需要而做出的基于語言內部或外部原因的選擇。稱呼語的翻譯本身就是兩種語言間的轉換，所以順應論可以作為稱呼語翻譯研究的理論基礎。 本文以維索爾倫的順應論為理論框架，采用定性研究方法，選取姜戎創(chuàng)作的《狼圖騰》及其英譯Wolf Totem中的稱呼語為研究對象，從順應論的四個研究角度，即語境關系順應（包括語言語境和交際語境），結構客體順應，動態(tài)順應及順應過程意識突顯程度，對《狼圖騰》中稱呼語的翻譯進行研究。 通過研究，筆者發(fā)現(xiàn)譯者葛浩文采用了直譯、意譯、替換、省譯、音譯等方法對原文和譯語讀者做出不同的順應。這些譯法對于文學作品中稱呼語的翻譯有一定參考價值。
