論叔本華及尼采的哲學(xué)思想對(duì)尤金·奧尼爾人生觀的影響

作為美國(guó)20世紀(jì)最偉大的戲劇大師,尤金·奧尼爾的戲劇一直以來成為國(guó)內(nèi)外學(xué)者們研究和探討的焦點(diǎn)之一。但是,就奧尼爾本人而言,在其人生觀這一方面,人們關(guān)注頗少。在前人成就的基礎(chǔ)上,本文試從對(duì)奧尼爾有深刻影響的德國(guó)哲學(xué)家叔本華以及尼采的哲學(xué)思想為理論依據(jù),探討其人生觀以及該人生觀在其戲劇創(chuàng)作的體現(xiàn)。論文首先對(duì)尤金·奧尼爾的生平和主要戲劇作品做了比較全面的介紹,接著對(duì)目前國(guó)內(nèi)外有關(guān)奧尼爾本人及其作品的研究做了比較簡(jiǎn)練的回顧和分析。本文指出對(duì)奧尼爾作品的譯介、不同層次、不同角度的批評(píng)和研究仍然是所有有關(guān)其研究的主流,在奧尼爾人生觀方面,大多研究和評(píng)價(jià)仍停留在以對(duì)其作品人物及情節(jié)和創(chuàng)作日志的分析為依據(jù)得出奧尼爾是一個(gè)悲觀主義者或樂觀主義者的片面而絕對(duì)的結(jié)論。然后,論文作者從對(duì)奧尼爾人生觀有深刻影響的德國(guó)哲學(xué)家叔本華和尼采的哲學(xué)思想作了簡(jiǎn)要的介紹。叔本華的悲觀主義思想和悲劇哲學(xué)以及尼采的悲劇哲學(xué)和存在主義對(duì)奧尼爾的人生觀有著及其重要的影響。叔本華認(rèn)為人生欲望無窮、苦海無邊,其解脫方式是以對(duì)生命意志的否定為出路從而達(dá)到精神的涅磐和回歸,而悲劇肩負(fù)著再現(xiàn)人生本質(zhì)的最高任務(wù),它是表現(xiàn)人類本質(zhì)生活的最高藝術(shù)...
