本論文著手研究三篇海洋作品,分別是丹尼爾·笛福的《魯濱遜漂流記》,赫爾曼·麥爾維爾的《白鯨》和歐內(nèi)斯特·海明威的《老人與海》。到目前為止,在國(guó)內(nèi)外對(duì)三部作品獨(dú)立研究的論文很多,但研究的重點(diǎn)通常是放在三部作品中主人公形象剖析上,因此研究的范圍顯得比較狹窄。 本論文是第一次對(duì)《魯濱遜漂流記》,《白鯨》和《老人與�！凡扇”容^的方法進(jìn)行系統(tǒng)的研究。該研究主要是從海洋內(nèi)涵,人類(lèi)在與海洋斗爭(zhēng)相互作用過(guò)程中所展示出的人類(lèi)精神,社會(huì)背景和與主題有關(guān)的寫(xiě)作技巧等方面對(duì)三部作品進(jìn)行了比較,既展示了三部作品總體特征,又揭示了它們的個(gè)性以及在英美文學(xué)中的關(guān)聯(lián)性。 本論文分為五章。 第一章介紹三部作品的基本情況。三部作品故事情節(jié)都較簡(jiǎn)單,沒(méi)有過(guò)多懸念,人物形象刻畫(huà)和環(huán)境描寫(xiě)是作品重心。三部作品在英美文學(xué)長(zhǎng)河中占有重要地位。 第二章介紹小說(shuō)的背景。三部作品不約而同的把海洋作為故事的背景.海洋把三部不同時(shí)期的作品聯(lián)系了起來(lái)。但是海洋分別被賦予了不同特點(diǎn)和含義。在《魯濱遜漂流記》中,海洋被賦予原始世界的自然狀態(tài)的含義,還帶有神秘色彩,在《白鯨》中,海洋呈現(xiàn)出超自然和神性特點(diǎn)。在《老人與�！分�,...
