　　莎士比亞與蕭伯納是英國文學(xué)史上最著名的兩位劇作家。莎士比亞被公認(rèn)為英國最偉大的作家。作為一名詩人和劇作家,他留給后人154首十四行詩,37部劇作,以及兩首長詩。正如與他同一時(shí)代的另一位大劇作家、詩人本·瓊森所說,“他不屬于一個(gè)時(shí)代,而屬于所有世紀(jì)”。蕭伯納是繼莎士比亞之后最偉大的劇作家,于1925年被授予諾貝爾文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)。他一生創(chuàng)作了51部劇作,而且它的戲劇被認(rèn)為是20世紀(jì)英國戲劇的主流。雖然兩位作家都在文學(xué)界享有盛望,其作品都被時(shí)人和后世所傳誦,兩人在文學(xué)作品中的道德觀,尤其是在涉及女性地位的問題上的觀點(diǎn)大相徑庭。實(shí)際上,蕭伯納文學(xué)評論的一大部分都是關(guān)于莎士比亞及其作品的批評。他常常將莎士比亞和自己作比較。眾所周知,作為女性解放的倡導(dǎo)者,蕭伯納強(qiáng)烈反對維多利亞時(shí)代所倡導(dǎo)的順從軟弱的女性形象,他認(rèn)為一個(gè)劇作家應(yīng)該通過其作品使觀眾反思社會(huì)上的道德觀并提供創(chuàng)新的、更合理的道德規(guī)范,而莎士比亞在戲劇創(chuàng)作中只滿足于表現(xiàn)當(dāng)世的道德觀。蕭伯納不僅在文學(xué)評論中批評莎士比亞,而且在自己的戲劇中通過設(shè)立相似的故事情節(jié)和人物形象,通過不同的創(chuàng)作手法和結(jié)局來反駁莎士比亞的作品。兩人的作品《馴悍記》和《賣花女》就...
