【摘要】：亨利·詹姆斯是著名的小說家,文學(xué)理論家以及評(píng)論家。在其創(chuàng)作的為數(shù)不多的哥特恐怖小說中,《螺絲在擰緊》是一篇出色的作品。小說的整個(gè)故事圍繞著一位家庭女教師在布萊莊園的恐怖的遇鬼經(jīng)歷展開敘述,情節(jié)跌宕起伏,引人入勝。筆者認(rèn)為是亨利·詹姆斯取哥特小說的傳統(tǒng)作為基調(diào),將獨(dú)創(chuàng)的小說理論融入其中,賦予這部哥特小說新的生命力,形成了他特有的哥特風(fēng)格,并準(zhǔn)確地反映了當(dāng)時(shí)的社會(huì)現(xiàn)實(shí),意義深遠(yuǎn)。因此,本文主要從傳統(tǒng)、創(chuàng)新及意義三方面對(duì)這篇哥特小說中的創(chuàng)作手法展開論證。 首先,本文在開篇部分對(duì)亨利·詹姆斯和《螺絲在擰緊》進(jìn)行了簡(jiǎn)要的介紹。然后在接下來的第一章對(duì)這部小說中的傳統(tǒng)哥特元素做了分析,包括神秘恐怖的環(huán)境設(shè)定,典型的人物塑造以及善惡對(duì)抗的主旨。這些傳統(tǒng)的哥特元素為詹姆斯進(jìn)一步的創(chuàng)新奠定了扎實(shí)的基礎(chǔ)。進(jìn)而,文章在第二章重點(diǎn)剖析了詹姆斯新穎的創(chuàng)作技巧在這篇哥特小說中的運(yùn)用,分析了其如何加強(qiáng)了小說的哥特效果。筆者在該章節(jié)首先論證了他敘事時(shí)使用的不確定性語調(diào)使讀者產(chǎn)生了難以克制的質(zhì)疑和困惑,增強(qiáng)了這部小說有別于傳統(tǒng)哥特小說的詭異程度和吸引力；其次,筆者通過解讀女主人公混亂的精神世界,表現(xiàn)詹姆斯對(duì)其作品中主人公的深度心理探究,以及其如何逐步使讀者產(chǎn)生強(qiáng)烈的共鳴,達(dá)到內(nèi)心深處的恐怖。文章最后,筆者通過三方面對(duì)亨利·詹姆斯在這部小說中哥特手法的意義進(jìn)行了分析,以及他如何將其獨(dú)特的哥特藝術(shù)結(jié)合現(xiàn)實(shí)意義進(jìn)行了升華,這三方面包括在留白中折射出的道德價(jià)值,真空環(huán)境中展現(xiàn)的信仰缺失的恐懼和女教師所代表的新女性的抗?fàn)帯＞C合這三章的內(nèi)容,筆者旨在說明這篇哥特小說是一篇集傳統(tǒng)與創(chuàng)新于一體的上乘佳作,試圖加深讀者對(duì)這部小說的理解,并展現(xiàn)詹姆斯的人性關(guān)懷及敏銳的時(shí)代視角。
[Abstract]:Henry James is a famous novelist, literary theorist and critic. In his few Gothic horror novels, Screw in tightening is an excellent work. The whole story of the novel revolves around the horrific demise of a governess at Bly Manor. The plot is undulating and fascinating. The author thinks that Henry James took the tradition of Gothic novel as the keynote, incorporated the original novel theory into it, gave the Gothic novel new vitality, and formed his unique Gothic style. And accurately reflected the social reality at that time, the significance is far-reaching. Therefore, this article mainly from the tradition, innovation and significance three aspects of the Gothic novel in the creation of the argumentation. First of all, Henry James and screw tightening are briefly introduced in the opening part of this paper. Then in the first chapter, the traditional Gothic elements of the novel are analyzed, including the setting of the mysterious and scary environment, the typical characters and the theme of the confrontation between good and evil. These traditional Gothic elements laid a solid foundation for James's further innovation. Then, in the second chapter, the author analyzes the application of James' novel writing skills in this Gothic novel, and analyzes how it strengthens the Gothic effect of the novel. In this chapter, the author first demonstrates that the uncertain intonation used in his narrative makes the readers have uncontrollable doubts and puzzles, which enhances the creepness and attraction of this novel, which is different from the traditional Gothic novel. Secondly, through the interpretation of the chaotic spiritual world of the heroine, the author expresses James' deep psychological exploration of the protagonist in her works, and how she gradually resonates strongly with the reader and reaches the deep horror of her heart. Finally, the author analyzes the significance of the Gothic technique in this novel from three aspects, and how he sublimates his unique Gothic art combined with the practical significance. These three aspects include the moral values reflected in the white space, the fear of lack of faith shown in the vacuum environment, and the struggle of the new women represented by the female teachers. Based on the contents of these three chapters, the author aims to show that this Gothic novel is an excellent work that combines tradition and innovation in order to deepen the reader's understanding of the novel, and to show James' concern for human nature and his keen view of the times.
