【摘要】:桑德拉·西斯內羅斯的《芒果街上的小屋》是一部回憶小女孩成長經歷的作品。小說由一系列具有樂感的小節(jié)隨意組合而成,反映了奇卡納在排外且不友善的美國主流環(huán)境中如何掙扎,如何追尋自我身份。 本文以女主角埃斯佩朗莎為主線,分析《芒果街上的小屋》中的奇卡納對身份的追尋。全文分為三大章。第一章以瑪瑪西塔和埃斯佩朗莎為例,重點分析美墨文化夾縫中的奇卡納尷尬的族裔身份,繼而深入探討埃斯佩朗莎為自己和本族群追尋族裔身份的人生經歷。第二章剖析了奇卡納在父權制下對女性身份的追尋。瓜達盧佩圣母和瑪琳奇兩大女性原型的對立扎根于墨西哥父權制文化中,部分奇卡納始終未能打破此種對立,悲劇一生。埃斯佩朗莎從她們身上吸取經驗教訓,為自己也為本族群的女性構建獨立的女性身份。第三章以霍米巴巴關于混雜化和第三空間的文學理論為基礎,總結為奇卡納構建身份的方法。女主角埃斯佩朗莎發(fā)現,通過運用混雜化,追尋第三空間,奇卡納可以在美墨文化間搭建橋梁,從而成功構建身份。 總而言之,本文將埃斯佩朗莎追尋獨立自主的族裔身份和女性身份的成功經歷與其他奇卡納追尋身份的失敗經歷作比較,指出混雜化和第三空間可以成為奇卡納在主流的父權制文化中構建身份的方法。
[Abstract]:Sandra Cisneros's House on Mango Street is a work that recalls the little girl's upbringing. The novel is composed of a series of musical sections, reflecting how Chikana struggles and seeks his identity in the exclusive and unfriendly mainstream American environment. Based on the heroine Esperanza, this paper analyzes Chikana's pursuit of identity in Mango Street Cabin. The full text is divided into three chapters. The first chapter takes Mamasita and Esperanza as an example, analyzes the awkward ethnic identity of Chikana in the gap between American and Mexican culture, and then probes deeply into Esperanza's life experience of seeking ethnic identity for herself and her own ethnic group. Chapter two analyzes Chikana's pursuit of female identity under patriarchy. The archetypal opposition of the two female archetypes Guadalupe and Marinche is rooted in the patriarchal culture of Mexico. Esperanza learned from them to build an independent female identity for herself as well as for women of her own ethnic group. The third chapter is based on HomiBaba's literary theory of confounding and third space, and summarizes the method of constructing identity for Chikana. Esperanza, the heroine, finds that Chikana can build a bridge between American and Mexican cultures and build identity successfully by using intermingling and pursuing the third space. In a word, this paper compares Esperanza's successful experience of pursuing independent ethnic identity and female identity with that of other Chikana's. It is pointed out that mixing and third space can be the methods of building identity in mainstream patriarchal culture.
