《巫術(shù)師》中女性身份的探尋

【摘要】:約翰·福爾斯被譽(yù)為“戰(zhàn)后英國(guó)最優(yōu)秀的小說(shuō)家之一”,盡管他算不上一位多產(chǎn)的小說(shuō)家,但其作品一直受到國(guó)內(nèi)外讀者和批評(píng)家的青睞。作為福爾斯真正意義上的處女作,《巫術(shù)師》一經(jīng)出版就轟動(dòng)了歐美,尤其在美國(guó)得到了廣泛的好評(píng),是一部值得深入研究和探討的佳作。 福爾斯認(rèn)為自己是一個(gè)普遍意義上的女性主義作家,其作品中始終滲透著對(duì)女性的同情和關(guān)懷。本文從女性主義視角對(duì)《巫術(shù)師》進(jìn)行解讀,分析父權(quán)制下女性的生活狀況和女性意識(shí)的覺(jué)醒過(guò)程,并揭示福爾斯的女性權(quán)傾在這部小說(shuō)寫(xiě)作技巧和再版文本修訂中的體現(xiàn)。 本論文分為五個(gè)部分: 引言:主要介紹作家的成長(zhǎng)歷程和創(chuàng)作成就;小說(shuō)《巫術(shù)師》的研究現(xiàn)狀;與本研究相關(guān)的女性主義理論術(shù)語(yǔ);本論文的章節(jié)結(jié)構(gòu)等。 第一章:父權(quán)制下的空洞的女性形象。主要分析父權(quán)制文化影響下的女性因其不平等的他者地位和受到的不公平的待遇,從而導(dǎo)致女性自我的逐漸迷失。小說(shuō)中,男權(quán)意識(shí)濃厚的尼古拉斯把女友艾莉森當(dāng)作玩偶一般任意取舍而不顧及艾莉森的感受。在飽受男主人公的侮辱、拋棄和欺騙之后,艾莉森面臨自我身份的危機(jī)。 第二章:女主人公自我身份的追尋和獲得。雅典之旅讓艾莉森對(duì)尼古拉斯失去了信心,其自我意識(shí)最終開(kāi)始覺(jué)醒,并且答應(yīng)與“上帝的游戲”的策劃者康奇斯、主演者朱莉和朱恩合作,通過(guò)艾莉森的假死和“上帝的游戲”中康奇斯的愛(ài)情故事、有關(guān)二戰(zhàn)的故事、審判和嬌嬌等一系列措施來(lái)對(duì)尼古拉斯進(jìn)行女性主義和生活責(zé)任的教育,使其父權(quán)意識(shí)得到了削弱,進(jìn)而開(kāi)始把女性作為平等的主體來(lái)對(duì)待。 第三章:在《巫術(shù)師》中,福爾斯女權(quán)主義傾向主要通過(guò)他對(duì)傳統(tǒng)女性形象的顛覆性描寫(xiě),開(kāi)放式結(jié)尾的安排得以體現(xiàn)。另外,《巫術(shù)師》出版后,他又花費(fèi)幾年時(shí)間對(duì)這部小說(shuō)大幅度修改,再版的《巫術(shù)師》賦予女性更多的自由和主體性,進(jìn)一步強(qiáng)化了女性主義意識(shí)對(duì)小說(shuō)文本的滲透。 結(jié)語(yǔ):對(duì)本論文的主要內(nèi)容進(jìn)行總結(jié)和概括。在男權(quán)社會(huì)中,女性處于不平等的地位,以致于最終失去自我。然而,女性一旦覺(jué)醒就能最終找到自我和身份《巫術(shù)師》就是這樣一部具有濃厚女性主義意識(shí)的作品。
[Abstract]:John Fowles is regarded as one of the best novelists in postwar England. Although he is not a prolific novelist, his works have been favored by readers and critics at home and abroad. As Fowles' true first work, Witchcraft became a sensation in Europe and America as soon as it was published, especially in America, and it is a good work worthy of further study and discussion. Fowles considers himself a universal feminist writer whose works are always permeated with sympathy and concern for women. From the perspective of feminism, this paper analyzes the living conditions of women and the awakening process of women's consciousness under the patriarchal system, and reveals the embodiment of Fowles' female power inclination in the writing skills and the revision of the reprinted text of the novel. This thesis is divided into five parts: introduction: mainly introduces the writer's growth process and creation achievement; the present situation of the study of the novel Witchcraft; the feminist theoretical terms related to this study; the chapter structure of this thesis, and so on. The first chapter: the empty female image under the patriarchal system. This paper mainly analyzes the women under the influence of patriarchal culture because of their unequal other status and unfair treatment, which leads to the gradual loss of the female self. In the novel, the patriarchal Nicholas treats his girlfriend Alison as a doll, regardless of Alison's feelings. After being insulted, abandoned and deceived by the hero, Alison faces a crisis of self-identity. Chapter two: the pursuit and acquisition of heroine's self-identity. Alison lost faith in Nicholas during her trip to Athens, and his self-consciousness finally began to awaken, and promised to work with Conchis, the creator of the Game of God, and the stars Julie and Joune. Through a series of measures such as Alison's false death and Conchis's love story in Game of God, the story of World War II, the trial, the petite and so on, to educate Nicholas about feminism and responsibility of life. It weakened its patriarchal consciousness and began to treat women as equal subjects. Chapter three: in Wiccan, Fowles' feminist tendency is mainly reflected by his subversive portrayal of traditional female images and the arrangement of open ending. In addition, after the publication of Witchcraft, he spent several years revising the novel by a large margin. The reprint of Wiccan gives women more freedom and subjectivity, which further strengthens the feminism's penetration into the novel text.
