【摘要】：喬伊斯·卡羅爾·歐茨是當(dāng)代美國文壇的一位杰出的女作家。她的作品在美國多次獲獎，而她本人也多次獲得諾貝爾文學(xué)獎提名。歐茨是個勤奮多產(chǎn)的作家，她出版過大量長篇小說、短篇小說、詩集和文學(xué)評論集，她的多部戲劇在紐約百老匯上演，也曾寫過一些電影和電視劇本。她最大的成就在于小說創(chuàng)作，她的作品多反映了當(dāng)代美國社會充滿暴力和不公的黑暗面，以及人們的生存狀況和精神困境�！端麄儭肥菤W茨著名的長篇小說，在其出版的第二年就獲得美國國家圖書獎。小說講述了主要人物洛雷塔、朱爾斯和莫琳母子三人作為美國下層人民所面臨的生存和精神困境，以及他們在困境中百折不撓的抗?fàn)�。本文運(yùn)用文學(xué)倫理學(xué)批評方法從人與社會，人與他人，人與自我三個層面對《他們》中蘊(yùn)含的倫理道德因素進(jìn)行分析，，發(fā)掘出歐茨的倫理思想，由此展現(xiàn)歐茨對當(dāng)代社會人文精神建構(gòu)所做出的貢獻(xiàn)。 本論文由五部分組成。 引言部分首先介紹了歐茨的生平，主要作品以及小說《他們》的主要內(nèi)容；其次介紹文學(xué)倫理學(xué)批評方法的產(chǎn)生背景、概念、應(yīng)用范圍和代表性的理論家；最后進(jìn)行文獻(xiàn)綜述，總結(jié)了國內(nèi)外對歐茨作品的學(xué)術(shù)研究成果及現(xiàn)狀，并指出本文的創(chuàng)新之處。 第一章主要探討了喬伊斯·卡羅爾·歐茨在人與社會關(guān)系上求真的倫理主張。在《他們》中，人與社會之間充滿了矛盾和沖突。小說主人公向往和追求美好的生活，然而他們的美好愿望卻被殘酷的社會現(xiàn)實(shí)擊得粉碎。他們在精神和肉體上受到極大的摧殘，整日生活在痛苦、絕望、恐懼和焦慮之中。通過展示小說主人公在充滿暴力和不公社會中的悲慘命運(yùn)，歐茨詮釋了人與社會必須保持一種和諧關(guān)系這一永恒真理。只有人與社會保持和諧，人才能過上幸福美好的生活并充分發(fā)揮自己的才能，從而為社會的進(jìn)步和發(fā)展做出自己的貢獻(xiàn)。 第二章詳細(xì)分析了喬伊斯·卡羅爾·歐茨在人與他人關(guān)系上求善的倫理主張。在《他們》中，歐茨主要描寫了家庭中人與人之間的關(guān)系。這種人與人之間的敵對關(guān)系給家庭成員造成精神和身體上的傷害。家庭成員之間沒有真愛、溝通、信任和尊重，有的只是爭吵、侮辱、詛咒、甚至暴力。歐茨對家庭關(guān)系的關(guān)注，彰顯了她對真愛、尊重、信任這些不同形式的“善”的推崇。只有通過人與他人之間的“善”，人們才能達(dá)到身心的健康與和諧，才能獲得真正的幸福和快樂。 第三章探討了喬伊斯·卡羅爾·歐茨在人與自我關(guān)系上求圣的倫理主張。小說主人公朱爾斯在困境中依然保持樂觀并不懈地追求自己所向往的自由和夢想。在男權(quán)社會中，洛雷塔和莫琳母女二人在精神和身體上受到男性的主宰和壓迫，逐漸喪失了自我。然而，她們并沒有被徹底摧毀。一次又一次的打擊使她們逐漸地自我覺醒，認(rèn)識到自己不幸的根源，并以自己的實(shí)際行動與男權(quán)社會的倫理道德進(jìn)行抗?fàn)?最終實(shí)現(xiàn)自我獨(dú)立和自我建構(gòu)，從而在殘酷的現(xiàn)實(shí)中以強(qiáng)者的姿態(tài)生存下來并按照自己的意愿安排人生。小說主人公的經(jīng)歷蘊(yùn)含了歐茨在人與自我關(guān)系層面上的倫理道德觀。樂觀、堅強(qiáng)、自我覺醒、自我獨(dú)立、自我建構(gòu)是歐茨所追求的“圣”的表現(xiàn)形式。 結(jié)論部分從人與社會，人與他人，人與自我三個方面簡要總結(jié)了文中所體現(xiàn)的倫理道德因素并全面而具體地詮釋了歐茨的道德信仰和倫理訴求：和諧、關(guān)愛、信任、尊重、樂觀、自立等。由此可見，歐茨對當(dāng)代社會人文精神的建構(gòu)做出了不可磨滅的貢獻(xiàn)。
[Abstract]:Joyce Carol Oates is an outstanding female writer in contemporary American literary world . Her works won prizes in the United States for many times , and she has won the Nobel Prize for Literature many times . She has published numerous novels , short stories , poems and literary critics . Her greatest achievement lies in novel creation . Her works reflect the existence and spiritual plight of the American society and people ' s living conditions and mental predicament .

This thesis consists of five parts .

The introduction part introduces the main contents of Eutz ' s life , main works and novels .
Secondly , the author introduces the background , concept , application scope and representative theorists of literary ethics criticism method .
Finally , the literature review summarizes the academic research achievements and present situation of Otz ' s works at home and abroad , and points out the innovation of this paper .

The first chapter discusses Joyce Carol Oates ' true ethical claim in the relationship of man and society . The hero of the novel is full of contradictions and conflicts between the people and the society . The hero of the novel goes to and pursues a good life . However , their good wishes are shattered by the cruel social reality . By showing the hero of the novel in full violence and the tragic fate of the society , Oates explained that people and society must maintain a harmonious relationship with the eternal truth . Only the human beings and society can live happily and well and give full play to their talents , thus making their own contributions to the progress and development of society .

The second chapter analyzes the ethical claim that Joyce Carol Oates seeks good in the relationship between people and others . Among them , Oates mainly describes the relationship between people in the family and people . There is no true love , communication , trust and respect among family members . There is nothing true love , communication , trust and respect among family members . There is only a quarrel , insult , curse , and even violence . Oates ' s concern about family relations reveals her love , respect and trust in these different forms of " good " . Only through the " good " between people and others can people achieve physical and mental health and harmony in order to achieve true happiness and happiness .

The third chapter discusses Joyce Carol Oates ' s ethical claim on the relationship between man and self . In the patriarchal society , both Loretta and Maureen are still optimistic and pursuing their freedom and dream . In the men ' s rights society , Loretta and Maureen have been subjected to male dominance and oppression and gradually lost their self . However , they have not been completely destroyed .

The conclusion part summarizes the ethical and moral factors embodied in this paper from the three aspects of human and society , man and others , human and self , and explains comprehensively and concretely the moral belief and ethical demands of Oates : harmony , love , trust , respect , optimism , self - reliance , etc . Therefore , Oates made an irreversible contribution to the construction of contemporary social humanism .
