用熱奈特的敘事理論分析《寵兒》的敘事策略

【摘要】:《寵兒》是美國(guó)文學(xué)界第一位獲得諾貝爾文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)的黑人女作家托尼·莫里森的代表作,小說(shuō)自1987年發(fā)表以來(lái),備受批評(píng)界關(guān)注。本篇論文以《寵兒》為基礎(chǔ),運(yùn)用法國(guó)文藝?yán)碚摷医芾瓲枴崮翁氐臄⑹吕碚,以小說(shuō)敘事手法為切入點(diǎn),來(lái)分析小說(shuō)的敘述與敘事時(shí)間、敘事視角和敘事話語(yǔ)之間的關(guān)系,探究莫里森高超的敘事策略。 《寵兒》的敘事結(jié)構(gòu)整合巧妙,敘事語(yǔ)言含蓄多義。盡管很多批評(píng)家對(duì)《寵兒》獨(dú)特的敘事技巧做了多方面的研究,但用熱奈特的敘事理論進(jìn)行分析的還為數(shù)不多。本文通過(guò)運(yùn)用熱奈特?cái)鄬訒r(shí)間、多層視角和多變的話語(yǔ)的敘事理論在《寵兒》中的內(nèi)在關(guān)系,展現(xiàn)莫里森獨(dú)特的敘事技巧。首先,以敘事時(shí)間的錯(cuò)綜復(fù)雜為切入點(diǎn),探討莫里森如何通過(guò)時(shí)間倒錯(cuò)、非對(duì)稱和非等時(shí)的斷層時(shí)間來(lái)描述一幅模糊過(guò)去和現(xiàn)在時(shí)空界限的框架,揭示《寵兒》中的非裔奴隸所遭受的奴役和苦難,有效發(fā)揮敘事時(shí)間上的長(zhǎng)處,體現(xiàn)作品獨(dú)特的敘事策略。其次,又以敘事視角的轉(zhuǎn)換為切入點(diǎn),從零聚焦、外聚焦和內(nèi)聚焦三方面巧妙轉(zhuǎn)換人物視角,生動(dòng)再現(xiàn)塞思?xì)胧录行У陌l(fā)揮視角藝術(shù)上的優(yōu)勢(shì),使作品更具豐富的審美色調(diào)。最后,本文以敘事話語(yǔ)的多變著手,從轉(zhuǎn)述話語(yǔ)、間接轉(zhuǎn)述話語(yǔ)和戲劇轉(zhuǎn)述話語(yǔ)三方面,分析了莫里森是如何運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言和權(quán)利的關(guān)系,在時(shí)空錯(cuò)亂的情節(jié)發(fā)展過(guò)程中構(gòu)成奴隸制和黑人奴隸兩大對(duì)立的話語(yǔ),,在抨擊非人道的奴隸制度同時(shí),肯定了黑人奴隸的群體力量以及該民族的希望。 通過(guò)運(yùn)用熱奈特的敘事理論對(duì)《寵兒》敘事策略的分析,論文最終揭示了作品獨(dú)特的敘事技巧和永恒的主題:回顧黑人奴隸在殘酷的奴隸制下的悲慘歷史,最終構(gòu)建黑人和白人之間和諧的社會(huì)關(guān)系。
[Abstract]:Beloved is the representative work of Tony Morrison, the first black woman writer to win the Nobel Prize in literature. Since her publication in 1987, the novel has attracted much attention from the critics. On the basis of beloved, using the narrative theory of French literary and art theorist Jailall Genett, and taking the narrative technique of the novel as the breakthrough point, this paper analyzes the relationship between the narrative and the narrative time, the narrative angle of view and the narrative discourse. Explore Morrison's superb narrative strategy. The narrative structure of beloved is skillful and the narrative language is implicative and polysemous. Although many critics have done many studies on the unique narrative techniques of beloved, few of them have analyzed them with Genett's narrative theory. This paper shows Morrison's unique narrative skills by using the internal relations of Genett's fault time, multi-level perspective and changeable discourse narrative theory in beloved. First of all, from the point of view of the intricacy of narrative time, we discuss how Morrison describes a frame that obscures the temporal and spatial boundaries of the past and present through time inversion, asymmetric and non-isochronous fault time. It reveals the slavery and suffering suffered by African-American slaves in beloved, effectively exerts the advantages of narrative time, and embodies the unique narrative strategy of the works. Secondly, with the transformation of narrative perspective as the breakthrough point, the author skillfully changes the character's angle of view from three aspects: zero focus, external focus and internal focus, so as to vividly reproduce Seth's infanticide event, and effectively bring into play the artistic advantages of the perspective. Make the work more aesthetic tone. Finally, this paper starts with the variety of narrative discourse, analyzes how Morrison uses language and rights from three aspects of reporting discourse, indirect reporting discourse and dramatic reporting discourse. In the course of the development of the disorder of time and space, the two opposing words of slavery and black slavery were formed. At the same time, the group strength of the black slaves and the hope of the nation were affirmed. By analyzing the narrative strategy of beloved by using Genett's narrative theory, the paper finally reveals the unique narrative skills and eternal theme of the works: reviewing the tragic history of black slaves under the cruel slavery. Finally, the harmonious social relationship between black and white is constructed.
