【摘要】：美國作家科馬克·麥卡錫的西部小說《邊境三部曲》對美國西部小說文體傳統(tǒng)實現(xiàn)了于繼承基礎(chǔ)之上的突破。 在人物形象塑造方面,作家塑造了具備“凡人英雄”特質(zhì)的牛仔主人公,使牛仔形象完成了從無所不能到無能為力、不斷受挫的轉(zhuǎn)變。在人物關(guān)系設(shè)置方面,麥卡錫賦予傳統(tǒng)西部小說中牛仔與伙伴、對手、馬及女人四種常見的人、物關(guān)系以深刻寓意,以表現(xiàn)牛仔田園牧歌理想的失落。在主題表達(dá)方面,作家繼承了對西部小說中常見的“身份選擇”主題和成長主題的探討,表現(xiàn)了牛仔在現(xiàn)代化歷史進(jìn)程中面臨的選擇困境,書寫了獨(dú)特的“反成長”和“半成長”故事。在自然環(huán)境和社會環(huán)境描寫方面,麥卡錫對美墨西南邊區(qū)自然環(huán)境的描寫實現(xiàn)了從背景到主題的升華,表達(dá)了對和諧生態(tài)關(guān)系的企盼；對社會環(huán)境的真實描寫實現(xiàn)了從“伊甸園”幻象到現(xiàn)實的還原。 總之,科馬克·麥卡錫在《邊境三部曲》中對美國西部小說進(jìn)行“改良”,給這一古老的文體傳統(tǒng)帶來了新的生命。
[Abstract]:American writer Cormack McCarthy's Western novel Frontier Trilogy has made a breakthrough in the tradition of American Western novels on the basis of inheritance. In the aspect of character shaping, the writer has created the cowboy hero with the character of "mortal hero", which makes the cowboy image complete the transformation from omnipotence to powerlessness. In the aspect of character relationship setting, McCarthy endows the traditional western novels with four kinds of common people: cowboy and partner, opponent, horse and woman, and the material relationship is profound moral to express the loss of the ideal of cowboy pastoral song. In the aspect of theme expression, the writer inherits the discussion of the common theme of "identity selection" and the theme of growth in western novels, and shows the dilemma of the choice faced by cowboys in the course of modernization history. Wrote the unique "anti-growth" and "half growth" story. In the description of the natural environment and social environment, McCarthy's description of the natural environment in the southwestern border region of America and Mexico realized the sublimation from the background to the theme, and expressed his expectation for the harmonious ecological relationship. The true description of the social environment realizes the restoration from the illusion of the Garden of Eden to the reality. In a word, Cormack McCarthy's "improvement" of American Western novels in the Frontier Trilogy brings new life to this ancient literary tradition.
