【摘要】：《天橋》(The Bridge of Heaven)是江西南昌作家熊式一先生于英國游學(xué)期間用英文創(chuàng)作的小說,在英國出版時曾引起巨大轟動,被多次重印出版以及譯成多國語言。熊式一先生當(dāng)時在英國的名聲相當(dāng)于林語堂先生在美國的名聲。然而由于某種原因,該小說在大陸未得到足夠的重視,因此對該小說的創(chuàng)作及翻譯問題的探討顯得頗為重要。胡庚申教授在2003年首次提出生態(tài)翻譯學(xué)這一概念,作為一門將翻譯學(xué)與生態(tài)學(xué)結(jié)合的跨學(xué)科研究,該理論認為翻譯問題的研究,是可以利用自然科學(xué)的理論來研究說明的,尤其是他提出的翻譯適應(yīng)選擇論,可以從適應(yīng)和選擇的角度解釋現(xiàn)實生活中普遍存在的翻譯活動和過程,尤其可以在文學(xué)翻譯中得到廣泛地運用。本文從生態(tài)翻譯學(xué)角度出發(fā),以胡庚申的生態(tài)翻譯學(xué)理論做為理論指導(dǎo),具體采用理論與文本分析相結(jié)合的方法,對熊式一的小說《天橋》及其自譯文本進行對比研究。因此,文章從“內(nèi)部需要”、“外部需要”、“譯者能力”三個方面探討了譯者對生態(tài)環(huán)境的適應(yīng);并且從“語言維”、“文化維”兩方面維度分析了譯者是如何積極地做出適應(yīng)性的選擇,并詳細討論了語言風(fēng)格、形式、修辭、文化負載詞等的選擇和轉(zhuǎn)換。論文認為,熊式一在自譯《天橋》時做出了積極正面的適應(yīng)與選擇,且翻譯策略各具特色,值得譯者探討學(xué)習(xí);其次,論文驗證了生態(tài)翻譯學(xué)的指導(dǎo)意義和實用性:生態(tài)翻譯學(xué)對翻譯實踐特別是文學(xué)翻譯具有可操作性和解釋力。
