本次翻譯項(xiàng)目是對美國華裔作家李翊云的兩篇短篇小說“A Flawless Silence”(“完美的沉默”)和“A Small Flame”(“小小火焰”)進(jìn)行全文漢譯。前一篇小說講述了移民美國的家庭主婦敏為了回避年輕時(shí)相親對象的父親時(shí)不時(shí)的郵件騷擾,一直保持著沉默的故事。反映了性騷擾對于受害者生活軌跡產(chǎn)生的影響。后一篇小說描寫的是華裔女律師貝拉回到中國,尋找她的過去——揭示了被收養(yǎng)孤兒在成長的過程中對命運(yùn)無常的感慨。李翊云的作品主題以孤獨(dú)和隔絕為主,關(guān)注普通人的特殊生活經(jīng)歷,關(guān)注社會(huì)現(xiàn)實(shí)和人的內(nèi)心,具有翻譯價(jià)值。翻譯實(shí)踐的意義在于:1.有利于作家作品的推介;2.有利于提升目標(biāo)讀者對于小說中提及的特殊群體和華裔人群思想情感、生活狀態(tài)的認(rèn)識;3.有利于提升譯者的翻譯實(shí)踐能力和文學(xué)感悟力。在尤金·奈達(dá)“功能對等”理論的指導(dǎo)下,譯者采用了詞性轉(zhuǎn)換、省詞法、正反譯法等翻譯技巧,從意義、文體和文化三個(gè)層面來解決翻譯過程中遇到的難點(diǎn)。此篇翻譯實(shí)踐報(bào)告共分為六章。第一章為翻譯實(shí)踐介紹,簡述翻譯項(xiàng)目的背景信息及意義。第二章為原文本介紹,包括對原文作者的介紹和對原文本的解析。第三章為翻譯理論,簡要解釋說明...
