“象思維”觀照下汪榕培《詩經》英譯本評析

《詩經》是中國最早的一部詩歌總集,是現(xiàn)實主義文學的源頭,被稱為中華民族的文化元典,其對后世文學創(chuàng)作產生了深遠的影響。在當今中國文化“走出去”的時代背景下,《詩經》翻譯研究具有重要的現(xiàn)實意義。目前國內外《詩經》英譯研究多從文學、語言學或美學角度切入,從《詩經》中所承載的思辨形態(tài)和文化精神角度關注得甚少。故此,從思維模式角度對《詩經》英譯本進行批評研究,有助于彰顯中國傳統(tǒng)文化的本色,滿足西方社會對中國文化的需求。本文以中華文化所特有的認識形態(tài)和智慧樣式“象思維”為理論視角,以汪榕培先生的《詩經》英譯本為研究對象,從“象”的呈現(xiàn)、“象思維”的運用以及對原作精神的忠實這三個維度來分析和研究其譯本。作為華夏文明的精神創(chuàng)造,“象思維”是更具本原性和創(chuàng)造性的思維方式,指的是在思考過程中通過聯(lián)想、想象等方式把事物具象化、形象化,進而理解事物的一種思維。中華民族自古以來就運用“象思維”來認識宇宙萬物,中國的詩詞歌賦等文學作品也深受其影響。論文基于“象思維”的哲學認識樣式,評析汪榕培《詩經》英譯本在意象呈現(xiàn)和語言表征上與原文的契合程度。首先,對國內外的《詩經》英譯研究進行了概述,發(fā)現(xiàn)其大多是從文學或語言學...
