繼2012年莫言獲得諾貝爾文學(xué)獎后,《蛙》是其在海外市場出版的第一部小說,也是美國翻譯家葛浩文最近期翻譯及出版的小說。由于這部作品的新近出版,目前國內(nèi)外對其的研究相對空缺,這就極大增加了文本的研究價值。本文通過對莫言《蛙》的葛浩文英譯本的個案分析,運用安德烈·勒菲弗爾的操縱理論解讀該英譯本后隱藏的操縱因素。安德烈·勒菲弗爾認(rèn)為翻譯是一種改寫,而改寫則是一種操縱。意識形態(tài)、詩學(xué)、贊助人為三大操縱因素。因此本文將文本放在特定的社會、歷史、文化和政治背景中,解讀上述三大操縱因素在葛浩文的《蛙》英譯本中所發(fā)揮的作用。論文分為五個章節(jié)。第一章為引言,介紹總體概況,涵蓋了文本介紹、理論概述、國內(nèi)外研究現(xiàn)狀以及研究意義、研究方法和文本布局。第二章主要分析意識形態(tài)是如何操縱著文本選擇和譯者主體性,將文本置身于社會系統(tǒng)中,分析美國對中國意識形態(tài)的改變,指出譯者在翻譯的過程中會受到意識形態(tài)的操縱,使得翻譯文本更加符合讀者所處社會的意識形態(tài)。第三章研究主流詩學(xué)對文本選擇、翻譯策略和語言風(fēng)格的操縱,譯者受到操縱選取《蛙》這一符合美國主流詩學(xué)的文本作為對象并采取特定的翻譯策略及方法使得譯文更為目的語讀者所接受。...
