《射雕英雄傳》第一卷英譯本《英雄出世》由郝玉青于2018年譯成出版,因其情節(jié)扣人心弦,俠肝義膽昭彰,一經(jīng)問(wèn)世,受到海外讀者熱捧。金庸先生實(shí)乃中國(guó)武俠小說(shuō)開(kāi)山鼻祖,其作品也可稱為中華文化之寶庫(kù),因此金庸先生著作的外譯定會(huì)助力中華文化的傳播。中文經(jīng)典著作的翻譯向來(lái)不易,《射雕英雄傳》中廣博深厚的中國(guó)文化元素?zé)o疑增加了英譯難度。但縱觀郝玉青譯本,原著精髓盡悉得到體現(xiàn),取舍得當(dāng),堪稱典范。蘇珊·巴斯內(nèi)特作為文化翻譯學(xué)派領(lǐng)軍人物,其文化翻譯理論首倡文化功能對(duì)等,認(rèn)為翻譯的基本單位應(yīng)為語(yǔ)言為核心的文化因素,翻譯的目的是實(shí)現(xiàn)文化的轉(zhuǎn)化,在必要時(shí),譯者可突破語(yǔ)言形式的束縛,對(duì)原文進(jìn)行改寫,以達(dá)到譯文在目的語(yǔ)的功能與原文在源語(yǔ)中的功能的對(duì)等。筆者發(fā)現(xiàn),文化翻譯理論多被用于分析經(jīng)典文學(xué)著作的翻譯,但目前尚未被用于研究《射雕英雄傳》的英譯本。鑒于此,本文以蘇珊·巴斯內(nèi)特的文化翻譯理論,探究譯者如何通過(guò)改寫的翻譯策略來(lái)實(shí)現(xiàn)文化功能對(duì)等的目標(biāo)。經(jīng)過(guò)詳盡的對(duì)比研究,本文發(fā)現(xiàn),在宏觀層面,《英雄出世》運(yùn)用“增刪改”的翻譯技巧,通過(guò)巧妙增加副文本,改寫對(duì)話和刪除與文化有關(guān)的內(nèi)容,提升譯文可讀性的效果。而對(duì)帶有文化色彩...
