　　自1947年踏上中國的土地之后,沙博理便與之結(jié)下了不解之緣。借由翻譯中國文學(xué),沙博理筆耕不輟五十余載致力于將真實的新中國呈現(xiàn)給西方國家。紅色抗戰(zhàn)小說《新兒女英雄傳》不僅標(biāo)志著沙博理翻譯生涯的開端,也是第一部在美國出版的紅色小說。小說的英譯本由國家機構(gòu)贊助出版,最初于1951年刊載在《中國文學(xué)》創(chuàng)刊號,沙博理在1952年聯(lián)系美國出版社出版了譯作,之后外文出版社分別于1958年和1979年發(fā)行了單行本。比利時語用學(xué)家耶夫·維索爾倫認為傳統(tǒng)語用學(xué)的研究課題有諸多共同之處,因此他提出了語用綜觀論,即將語用學(xué)研究擴展到語言能表達意義的各個層次。他認為語言的使用過程就是語言使用者從一系列可供選擇的項目中作出靈活的選擇,從而滿足交際需要的過程。同樣的,翻譯的過程也是不斷選擇和順應(yīng)的過程,譯者要選擇不同的翻譯方法來完成語境關(guān)系順應(yīng)。本文以順應(yīng)論為理論框架,以《新兒女英雄傳》的英譯本為例,從交際語境和語言語境兩個層次展開分析,研究作為原文解讀者以及譯文闡釋者的沙博理對原語和目的語文化做出的雙向順應(yīng)。在交際語境順應(yīng)方面,從譯者的心理世界、原語文化的社會世界以及目的語的物理世界三個角度展開分析;而在語言語境...
