本研究擬借助敘事學理論,分析藍詩玲在《馬橋詞典》英譯本中對原文敘事視角的再現(xiàn)方式,進而探討敘事學理論對小說翻譯實踐的適用性,以期對中國文學的外譯具有促進意義。作為中國當代文學的典范,“尋根派”文學家代表韓少功將其對中國地域文化的深度思考,融入對小說敘事策略和技術的探尋,創(chuàng)作出了獨特的詞典體小說《馬橋詞典》。作者以方言作為敘事線索,打破傳統(tǒng)線性敘事,描寫出多個人物的遭際,從而思考了語言對人命運的制約。該作唯一的英文譯本由英國著名漢學家藍詩玲于2003年完成出版,從而將這一富有中國地域文化色彩的方言小說推向世界讀者。然而對此頗具方言特色的小說翻譯研究鮮少,且主要成果多集中于語言表層結構,即語言形式和結構對等研究,以及文化傳播層面的翻譯研究,忽略了詞典體的特殊敘事形式和多層話語的敘述結構對語言表層結構及其語義實現(xiàn)的影響。而敘事視角的運用作為現(xiàn)代小說的重要敘述技巧,關系到小說的主題意義、作者意圖的傳達以及人物話語心理表達。本文擬以敘事學理論為依據(jù),以英譯《馬橋詞典》為例探究敘事視角的再現(xiàn)方式,圍繞以下三個問題進行探討:譯者對敘述者視角的轉(zhuǎn)換如何影響敘述者話語的表達?譯者對人物視角的轉(zhuǎn)換如何影響...
