作為經(jīng)典戲劇文學(xué),《莎士比亞全集》至今在英國乃至世界都具有巨大的影響。中國有多名文學(xué)家兼譯者陸續(xù)將其進(jìn)行翻譯,其中著名的有朱生豪、梁實(shí)秋和卞之琳等。進(jìn)入二十一世紀(jì)以后,關(guān)于《莎士比亞戲劇全集》不同中譯本的比較研究也越來越多,而有關(guān)朱生豪的《莎劇》手稿及基于其基礎(chǔ)上校訂版對比研究較少。朱生豪作為以譯《莎》而出名的翻譯家,其譯本尤為突出,因此,作者嘗試選擇其中的一則戲劇《威尼斯商人》手稿及其校訂版進(jìn)行對比研究和分析。從二十世紀(jì)七十年代開始,很多學(xué)者通過研究開始發(fā)現(xiàn),翻譯并不僅僅是兩種語言結(jié)構(gòu)層面的“吻合”問題,同時(shí)也是不同文化間的一種交際。與此同時(shí),學(xué)者對翻譯研究的重心由語言層面開始轉(zhuǎn)向?yàn)槲幕瘜用?這一轉(zhuǎn)向被稱為翻譯研究的文化轉(zhuǎn)向,這些學(xué)者后來被稱為文化學(xué)派。文化學(xué)派代表人物之一安德烈·勒菲弗爾在這樣的背景下提出了有名的操縱理論。他認(rèn)為,翻譯是譯者對原文的一種“改寫”,這種“改寫”主要受到特定歷史條件下意識形態(tài)、詩學(xué)和贊助人的影響。因此,本文以此理論為視角,對朱生豪在1936年翻譯《威尼斯商人》的手稿及方平在1964年以其為基礎(chǔ)而校訂的版本的不同之處進(jìn)行描述和解釋。本文基于操縱理論,將兩個(gè)...
