本研究借助申丹的敘述視角理論,對蕭紅《呼蘭河傳》中的敘述視角和葛浩文英譯本的相關(guān)翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換進(jìn)行比較研究。作為一部自傳體鄉(xiāng)土小說,《呼蘭河傳》由于高超的敘事技巧、濃郁的地方文化符碼和深刻的時代主題而成為中國現(xiàn)代小說中的經(jīng)典。葛浩文在翻譯過程中對原文獨(dú)特敘述視角的靈活處理是《呼蘭河傳》英譯本得以成功的重要原因。申丹的敘述視角理論主要將文學(xué)作品的敘述視角分為四類,即零視角、內(nèi)視角、第一人稱外視角、第三人稱外視角。通過對《呼蘭河傳》原文本及英譯本進(jìn)行文本細(xì)讀和比較分析研究,作者發(fā)現(xiàn),《呼蘭河傳》原文本中的敘述視角主要有零視角、第一人稱內(nèi)視角、第一人稱外視角等三種。而葛浩文在翻譯過程中對相關(guān)敘述視角進(jìn)行了恰適的處理,其相關(guān)翻譯轉(zhuǎn)換自如而得當(dāng)。首先,葛浩文根據(jù)需要,巧妙使用人稱、時態(tài),選擇符合人物特點(diǎn)的話語等對原文敘述視角進(jìn)行轉(zhuǎn)換。其次,葛浩文幾乎全部保留了原文中的零視角、第一人稱外視角以追求與原文一致的敘事效果;而對于內(nèi)視角中的第一人稱敘述類型,則通常會將其由經(jīng)驗(yàn)自我轉(zhuǎn)換為敘述自我,這種轉(zhuǎn)換有利于增強(qiáng)目的語讀者的接受度。與此同時,葛浩文還通過增加連詞、合并句式結(jié)構(gòu)、轉(zhuǎn)換語態(tài)等多種翻譯技巧來加強(qiáng)譯文...
