王安憶的代表作《長(zhǎng)恨歌》是一部高度“陌生化”的作品;其英譯本也被貼上“實(shí)驗(yàn)性”的標(biāo)簽,因?yàn)樗谠S多方面違反了可讀性原則,使譯語(yǔ)讀者產(chǎn)生陌生之感。然而針對(duì)《長(zhǎng)恨歌》英譯本中陌生化手法的再現(xiàn)研究卻寥寥無(wú)幾。陌生化概念由俄國(guó)形式主義的先驅(qū)什克洛夫斯基提出,他認(rèn)為文學(xué)作品的文學(xué)性就彰顯在作者精心使用的陌生化手段之中,而文學(xué)性是文學(xué)作品的本質(zhì),它具有區(qū)分文學(xué)作品與其他非文學(xué)作品的功能。因此,陌生化對(duì)于文學(xué)作品至關(guān)重要。在文學(xué)翻譯過(guò)程中,譯者應(yīng)當(dāng)竭力再現(xiàn)原作中的陌生化元素,使譯文產(chǎn)生與原作相同的美學(xué)效果,這也是文學(xué)翻譯目標(biāo)和標(biāo)準(zhǔn)及譯者倫理的必然要求。本文以陌生化理論為基礎(chǔ),選取《長(zhǎng)恨歌》及其英譯本作為個(gè)案例究,將原作中的陌生化元素分三種層面進(jìn)行考量,即語(yǔ)言層面,修辭層面和文化層面,且在每一層面,都詳細(xì)分析了兩位譯者白睿文和陳毓賢是否在目標(biāo)文本中再現(xiàn)了原文中的陌生化元素。同時(shí),還探討了他們的翻譯方法,譯文產(chǎn)生的效果以及對(duì)讀者接受的考慮。研究發(fā)現(xiàn),兩位譯者基本上注意到了原作中的陌生化元素,并盡力將這些元素傳送到目標(biāo)文本中去。他們的翻譯不僅確保譯語(yǔ)讀者能獲得與原文讀者同樣的審美愉悅,也促進(jìn)了中西文化交流...
