Pygmalion中言語幽默的漢譯研究

  幽默源于生活,又高于生活,是一種經(jīng)過藝術(shù)加工的語言形式,用這種語言創(chuàng)作的以笑為藝術(shù)手段的文學(xué)藝術(shù)作品,受到了許多研究者的青睞。但是,幽默到底是什么,學(xué)術(shù)界并沒有明確一致的解釋。本研究以蕭伯納幽默戲劇Pygmalion及林語堂和楊憲益的漢譯本為研究對(duì)象,在言語幽默概論及其延伸理論的框架下,建立原文和譯文雙語對(duì)照的平行數(shù)據(jù)庫,通過對(duì)比兩個(gè)漢譯本中幽默翻譯的異同,以探究出適合戲劇幽默文本的翻譯方法,進(jìn)一步完善言語幽默翻譯研究。研究主要有四點(diǎn)發(fā)現(xiàn):(1)翻譯過程中應(yīng)盡可能多的保留六個(gè)參數(shù),尤其是深層參數(shù)中的腳本對(duì)立和表層參數(shù)中的敘述策略;(2)在戲劇文本的幽默翻譯研究中,諷刺和修辭問句是促使原文中幽默產(chǎn)生的兩種主要手段;(3)兩譯本中共用了五種翻譯方法:直譯、意譯、合譯、替代和省略,其中,林語堂譯本中的直譯和楊憲益譯本中的意譯是最能傳遞幽默效果的兩種翻譯方法,其他幾種翻譯方法或多或少都會(huì)導(dǎo)致幽默效果的缺失;(4)兩位譯者雖所處時(shí)代不同,但是兩個(gè)譯本都較好地保留了英文原著中的幽默效果,楊憲益譯本更勝一籌。通過對(duì)所建立的數(shù)據(jù)庫進(jìn)行定量和定性的分析,結(jié)果表明,言語幽默概論及其延伸理論對(duì)Pygmali...
