【摘要】：翻譯作為一種重要的文化交流活動,對促進中國文化的發(fā)展有著重要的貢獻。然而現今中國譯者翻譯的文學作品在國外的認知度并不高,中國的第一位諾貝爾文學獎得主莫言的成功很大程度上得益于美國翻譯家葛浩文,本文將從操控理論的視野探討葛浩文對莫言小說當中俗語的翻譯。本文以安德烈·勒菲弗爾的操控理論作為理論基礎,從意識形態(tài),詩學及贊助人等方面對葛浩文對莫言小說中俗語翻譯進行分析,探討影響葛浩文翻譯的文化因素,及這些因素對葛浩文翻譯材料的選擇及翻譯策略的使用的影響。研究發(fā)現：受到贊助人的影響,葛浩文在翻譯過程中更多關注讀者的閱讀期待以滿足出版社的要求,為了迎合美國政府的統(tǒng)治需要和大眾的輿論需求,運用歸化的策略將原文中與美國意識形態(tài)相違背的部分進行轉換或刪除；在西方主流詩學的影響下,西方讀者更關注小說的整體的結構和意境,為此譯者刪除一些重復和Up嗦的內容使文章結構變得更為清晰,同時在譯文中添加一些能引起西方讀者關注而原文中所缺少的內容�？梢娫谖膶W翻譯的過程中,譯者受到意識形態(tài)、詩學和贊助人等文化因素的影響,會根據不同的翻譯需求采用意譯、直譯、增譯等不同的翻譯方法。希望該研究能為翻譯中國文學作品的譯者們提供一些參考和建議,有助于中國文學作品走向世界。
[Abstract]:Translation, as an important cultural exchange activity, plays an important role in promoting the development of Chinese culture. However, the literary works translated by Chinese translators are not highly recognized in foreign countries. Mo Yan, the first Nobel laureate in literature in China, has benefited greatly from the American translator GE Haowen. This paper will explore GE Hao-wen's translation of idioms in Mo Yan's novels from the perspective of manipulation theory. Based on Andre Lefevere's manipulation theory, this paper analyzes GE Hao-wen's translation of idioms in Mo Yan's novels from the aspects of ideology, poetics and sponsors, and probes into the cultural factors that affect GE Hao-wen's translation, as well as the influence of these factors on the choice of GE Hao-wen's translation materials and the use of translation strategies. It is found that under the influence of the sponsors, GE Haowen pays more attention to the readers' reading expectations in the process of translation to meet the requirements of the publishing house. In order to meet the needs of the American government and the public opinion, the domestication strategy is used to convert or delete the parts of the original text that are contrary to the ideology of the United States. Under the influence of western mainstream poetics, western readers pay more attention to the overall structure and artistic conception of the novel. Therefore, the translator removes some repetitive and Up wordy contents to make the structure of the article clearer, and at the same time adds some contents to the translation that can attract the attention of western readers and lack of the original text. It can be seen that in the process of literary translation, translators are influenced by cultural factors such as ideology, poetics and sponsors, and different translation methods, such as free translation, literal translation and additional translation, will be adopted according to different translation needs. It is hoped that this study can provide some references and suggestions for translators of Chinese literary works and contribute to the world of Chinese literary works.
