【摘要】： 林語堂的長篇英文小說Moment in Peking之所以能取得巨大成功,原因可以從諸多方面進行探究。其中一個很重要的原因就是作者將豐富多彩的中國民俗生動的展現(xiàn)在了西方讀者面前。其場面之繁復(fù),描寫之細膩,意蘊之豐富,在中國同時期中國作家的小說中都是首屈一指的。 該書的翻譯有好幾個版本,本論文以時下市場上唯一可以買到同時也是最受歡迎的張振玉版本作為研究對象,從功能目的論角度探討《京華煙云》中的民俗翻譯。在該理論框架的指導(dǎo)下,并且根據(jù)我國著名民俗學(xué)家鐘敬民先生對于民俗的分類,作者引用書中的實際例子并且結(jié)合中國民俗的實情來詳細剖析該書中民俗翻譯。為了使該論文更具有建設(shè)性,作者還特別注意到了一些民俗翻譯過程中出現(xiàn)的問題,并在此基礎(chǔ)上,提出筆者的譯文供后來者參考。 通過對《京華煙云》中民俗翻譯的分析總結(jié),本文旨在幫助譯者提高民俗翻譯的能力,從而能夠更好的實現(xiàn)跨文化交流。
[Abstract]:The reason why Lin Yutang's long English novel Moment in Peking has achieved great success can be explored from many aspects. One of the important reasons is that the author vividly shows the rich and colorful Chinese folk custom in front of the western readers. The complexity of the scene, the delicate description, the rich implication of the Chinese writers in the same period of Chinese novels are the first. There are several versions of the translation of the book. This thesis takes Zhang Zhenyu, the only and most popular version in the market, as the research object, and discusses the folk custom translation in Beijing Yanyun from the point of view of functional Skopos Theory. Under the guidance of this theoretical framework, and according to the classification of folklore by Mr. Zhong Jingmin, a famous Chinese folklore scientist, the author cites the practical examples in the book and analyzes the folk custom translation in the book in detail in combination with the facts of Chinese folklore. In order to make the thesis more constructive, the author also pays special attention to some problems in the process of folk translation and, on this basis, puts forward the translation of the author for the reference of the latecomers. Through the analysis and summary of folk-custom translation in Yuyun, Beijing, this paper aims to help the translator to improve his ability of folk-custom translation so as to achieve better cross-cultural communication.
