【摘要】：目前有兩個(gè)廣受贊譽(yù)的《金瓶梅》英文版全譯本，一本是克萊門·埃杰頓翻譯的The Golden Lotus(金蓮)，另一本是芮效衛(wèi)翻譯的The Plum in the Golden Vase(金瓶梅)。國內(nèi)外對(duì)《金瓶梅》翻譯的研究很少，對(duì)其中情色描寫的翻譯研究更是少之又少。 本研究旨在對(duì)比芮效衛(wèi)和埃杰頓兩個(gè)譯本中情色描寫可能存在的翻譯差異。根據(jù)情色描寫和性行為的定義，本研究將《金瓶梅》中的情色描寫分為3類：身體和生殖器官的描寫、前戲和邊緣性行為的描寫，以及性交描寫。本研究將從譯者主體性的角度來解釋這些差異存在的原因，詳細(xì)探討譯者主體性的三大特性，，即主觀能動(dòng)性、受動(dòng)性和為我性。 對(duì)比分析發(fā)現(xiàn)埃杰頓和芮效衛(wèi)對(duì)情色描寫采取的翻譯策略差別很大，而這些差別是因?yàn)閮晌蛔g者所受到的限制不同，各自的翻譯目的也不同。
[Abstract]:There are two widely acclaimed English versions of Jin Ping Mei, The Golden Lotus (translated by Clemen Egerton and The Plum in the Golden Vase (Jin Ping Mei translated by Rui. There are few studies on the translation of Jin Ping Mei at home and abroad. The purpose of this study is to compare the possible translation differences between Rui and Egerton. According to the definition of erotic description and sexual behavior, the sex description in Jin Ping Mei is divided into three categories: body and reproductive organs, foreplay and marginal sex, and sexual intercourse. This study will explain the reasons for these differences from the perspective of the translator's subjectivity, and discuss in detail the three characteristics of the translator's subjectivity, that is, subjective initiative, passivity and selfishness. The comparative analysis shows that the translation strategies adopted by Egerton and Rui are very different, and these differences are due to the different limitations and different translation purposes of the two translators.
