《原地待命》翻譯報告

【摘要】:本文是一篇翻譯報告,原文是由愛爾蘭作家約翰·伯恩創(chuàng)作的小說《原地待命》。該小說出版于2013年9月,一經(jīng)發(fā)表便轟動全球。該小說透過一個叫阿爾菲的男孩兒的視角描寫了第一次世界大戰(zhàn)爆發(fā)前后的場景。我們看到的阿爾菲是一個足智多謀、勇于擔(dān)當(dāng)?shù)哪泻?書中最動人之處莫過于他獨自一人將受傷的父親從醫(yī)院帶回老家的故事。正是由于他對父親的這種愛促使他將自身的安危置之度外!对卮饭适虑楣(jié)引人入勝,人物描寫惟妙惟肖,故事寓意發(fā)人深思:我們在感慨戰(zhàn)爭給人帶來的創(chuàng)傷的同時,也會被愛的力量感動得熱淚盈眶。本文以德國康茨坦斯大學(xué)文藝學(xué)教授姚斯(Hans Robert Jauss)在1967年提出的“接受美學(xué)”為理論指導(dǎo),通過對案例進(jìn)行分析,得出結(jié)論:接受美學(xué)理論是以讀者為中心,以讀者接受為目標(biāo),它為該書的翻譯提供了一個新的理論基礎(chǔ)和依據(jù)。接受美學(xué)注重讀者在整個翻譯過程中的主動地位和積極作用,而本小說的對象為兒童讀者。因此,譯者應(yīng)在翻譯過程中充分考慮兒童的思維方式、認(rèn)知能力和語言環(huán)境,使中國的兒童讀者能更好地理解和接受外國的兒童文學(xué)作品。本文共分為四章。第一章為翻譯任務(wù)描述,簡單地對作者、小說主要內(nèi)容和研究意義進(jìn)行介紹。第二章是介紹翻譯的過程和本報告所用的理論及在文章中的適用性。第三章是結(jié)合案例,從詞匯層面、句子層面、語篇層面分析接受美學(xué)理論在小說中的具體應(yīng)用。第四章是總結(jié)本翻譯項目的收獲和心得,指出缺點,提出更好的意見。
[Abstract]:This is a translation of a novel by Irish writer John Bourne, standing by in situ. The novel, which was published in September 2013, became a global sensation once it was published. The novel depicts scenes before and after the outbreak of World War I from the perspective of a boy named Alfie. We see Alfie as a resourceful and responsible boy; the most touching part of the book is the story of him alone bringing his injured father home from the hospital. It was because of his love for his father that he put his own safety aside. The plot of the story is fascinating, the characters are vivid, and the moral of the story is thought-provoking: while we are feeling the trauma of war, Will also be moved to tears by the power of love. Under the guidance of "reception Aesthetics" put forward by Professor of Literature and Art of Kantans University in Germany in 1967, this paper draws a conclusion that the theory of reception aesthetics is reader-centered and aimed at reader-acceptance through the analysis of cases. It provides a new theoretical basis for the translation of the book. Receptive aesthetics focuses on the active position and positive role of the reader in the whole translation process, while the target of the novel is the child reader. Therefore, the translator should take children's thinking mode, cognitive ability and language environment into full consideration in the process of translation, so that Chinese children readers can better understand and accept children's literary works from foreign countries. This paper is divided into four chapters. Chapter one briefly introduces the author, the main content and the significance of the study. The second chapter introduces the process of translation, the theory used in this report and its applicability in the article. The third chapter analyzes the application of receptive aesthetics in the novel from lexical, sentence and discourse levels. Chapter four summarizes the achievements and experiences of this translation project, points out its shortcomings and puts forward better suggestions.
