渴望虛擬空間:1990年代媒體藝術(shù)的技術(shù)想象
[Abstract]:The 1990s were when digital computing took off with its interactivity, graphical user interface, the Internet and the World wide Web. " The concepts of virtual space and virtual space are the basis of the theory and practice of media art in 1990's. However, the concept of "virtual space" is inherently flawed, partly because it encompasses technologies that are in rapid change. These include the rapid transformation of "augmented reality" and "mixed reality" to the modern universal computing paradigm, and the "forever online" mobile computing tracking, GPS tracking and the Internet of things. This complexity is magnified by the lack of technical knowledge of the first generation of digital artists and digital culture researchers. On the other hand, because for a long time, Western society has held a general belief in Descartes dualism without reflection. This spirit-body dualism is implicit in the opposites between material and information (as hardware and software) (rhetorical), reinforcing it in cultural norms. The art world, however, has always held a different, "physical" and diverse view of being, though rarely resorting to written or engineering equations, but this view of being is in one action. The artistic practice of direct recourse to the senses is expressed. These complex cultural forces together create a dizzying and confusing mix of words. In the field of human-computer interaction (HCI) in the 1990s, these problems existed all the time, and as part of the burden of philosophy, they participated in the shaping of the mainstream cognitive paradigm and affected the development of technology and its related discourse. The independent research of media artists, because of the combination of traditional "body" art perception and computational abstract thinking, It is precisely to clarify the technological and discourse development and "fictitious" related problems of digital culture in theory and practice in the 1990s, and to conceive the unique entrance to the corresponding solution. Generally speaking, these independent studies are much earlier than academic institutions and commercial companies.
