【摘要】：本翻譯實(shí)踐報(bào)告的翻譯實(shí)踐文本取自美國(guó)著名神經(jīng)外科醫(yī)生保羅·卡拉尼什所著的回憶錄自傳小說(shuō)《當(dāng)呼吸化作空氣》。保羅在該書(shū)中講述了他的童年成長(zhǎng)經(jīng)歷、他的醫(yī)學(xué)夢(mèng)想以及他得知自己患有晚期肺癌后的心路歷程和生活狀態(tài)。該書(shū)具有鮮明的回憶錄自傳體裁小說(shuō)語(yǔ)言風(fēng)格及敘事特點(diǎn),同時(shí)涉及到大量的醫(yī)學(xué)專(zhuān)業(yè)術(shù)語(yǔ),對(duì)醫(yī)學(xué)英語(yǔ)翻譯具有一定的指導(dǎo)意義。譯者選取了該書(shū)第二部分的前三章內(nèi)容,以美國(guó)著名翻譯學(xué)家尤金·奈達(dá)的“功能對(duì)等”理論為基礎(chǔ),并力求達(dá)到“忠實(shí)、通順”的翻譯標(biāo)準(zhǔn)來(lái)完成翻譯實(shí)踐。本報(bào)告通過(guò)對(duì)此次翻譯實(shí)踐中的典型案例分析,旨在將所學(xué)翻譯理論和具體的翻譯實(shí)踐相結(jié)合,探究醫(yī)學(xué)英語(yǔ)及回憶錄自傳文體的有效翻譯策略。本報(bào)告由三部分組成:導(dǎo)論、正文和結(jié)論。導(dǎo)論部分概述了此次翻譯實(shí)踐的內(nèi)容和意義,介紹了此次翻譯實(shí)踐報(bào)告所要研究的問(wèn)題。正文部分是本報(bào)告的主體內(nèi)容,主要分為三章。第一章為翻譯任務(wù)描述,介紹了翻譯實(shí)踐任務(wù)的背景,分為作者介紹、作品介紹及選題原因與意義三部分。第二章是翻譯過(guò)程描述,包括譯前準(zhǔn)備、翻譯初稿、校對(duì)修改三部分。第三章為案例分析,是本報(bào)告的重點(diǎn)內(nèi)容。譯者分別從詞法、句法、篇章和文體四個(gè)層面對(duì)翻譯實(shí)踐中遇到的醫(yī)學(xué)專(zhuān)業(yè)術(shù)語(yǔ)及長(zhǎng)難句分析等問(wèn)題以及針對(duì)這些問(wèn)題所采取的翻譯策略如詞性轉(zhuǎn)換、增譯與省譯、直譯與意譯等進(jìn)行闡述和分析。結(jié)論部分總結(jié)了此次翻譯實(shí)踐的研究?jī)?nèi)容,分享了譯者的心得體會(huì)以及此次實(shí)踐及研究對(duì)日后翻譯學(xué)習(xí)和工作的啟發(fā)。
[Abstract]:The translation practice text of this translation practice report is taken from the autobiographical novel when breathing into the Air by Paul Caranish, a famous American neurosurgeon. Paul tells about his childhood, his medical dreams, and his mental history and state of life after learning that he has advanced lung cancer. The book has distinctive language style and narrative characteristics of autobiographical novels, and involves a large number of medical technical terms, which has a certain guiding significance for medical English translation. The translator selects the first three chapters of the second part of the book, based on Eugene Nida's "functional equivalence" theory, and tries to achieve the translation standards of "faithfulness and smoothness" to complete translation practice. Through the analysis of typical cases in this translation practice, this report aims to explore the effective translation strategies of medical English and memoir autobiography by combining the translation theory with specific translation practice. This report consists of three parts: introduction, text and conclusion. The introduction summarizes the content and significance of the translation practice, and introduces the problems to be studied in the translation practice report. The body is the main body of this report, mainly divided into three chapters. The first chapter introduces the background of translation task, which is divided into three parts: the introduction of the author, the introduction of the work, the reason and significance of the selected topic. The second chapter is a description of the translation process, including three parts: pre-translation preparation, first draft translation, and proofreading. The third chapter is the case analysis, which is the focus of this report. The translator analyzes the medical technical terms and long difficult sentences in translation practice from four aspects: lexical, syntactic, textual and stylistic, as well as the translation strategies adopted in response to these problems, such as part-of-speech conversion, incremental translation and translation saving. Literal translation and free translation are expounded and analyzed. The conclusion summarizes the research content of the translation practice, shares the translator's experience and enlightens the translation study and work in the future.
