[Abstract]:This paper is a report on the translation of children's literature from English to English. The task described in this paper is to translate Children's Literature "Little Pig with squint", which is one of the animal stories published in 1915 by Bath Hopkins Publishing House. Taking the text of Little Pig squint as an example, this paper reviews the task translation process, discusses the strategies in the translation of children's literature in English, summarizes the problems encountered in the translation process, and puts forward the corresponding solutions. In reviewing the task, the report focuses on pre-translation preparation, including Skopos based translation theory preparation, text analysis, target readers' determination and translation planning. The report selects several typical cases of children's literature translation strategies, focusing on the use of overlapping words, interjections, onomatopoeia, four-character words and words to reflect the child's language in children's literature translation. In translation, situational supplement and adaptation, moderate alienation and even complete assimilation are used to increase readability of the target text and to improve the target readers' acceptance of the target text. In the process of proofreading, the author encounters three difficulties, namely, the treatment of the original author's inserted comments in the translation, the inaccuracy of the original text in the translation, and the unification of the name of the protagonist in the series of stories. Through the description of the translation task and the case analysis, the report concludes that the original text of the book is simple in vocabulary, easy to understand in style, natural in plot, lively in characters, and suitable for children aged 7-12. In order to maintain the style of the original text, in the process of translating English and Chinese in children's literature, we can appropriately use Chinese words of repetition, interjections, onomatopoeias, four-character words and words to reflect the characteristics of children's language. On the basis of Skopos faithfulness rule and coherence rule, the vividness and readability of the target text can be enhanced by adding and rewriting the situation. In dealing with cultural differences, we should take full account of the reading feelings of the target readers and choose the translation strategy of assimilation and dissimilation. In addition, the translator should communicate fully with the client in order to satisfy the client's interests while guaranteeing the quality of the translation.
