【摘要】：稱謂語,在人與人之間的交流中發(fā)揮著重要作用,其使用的復(fù)雜性、翻譯的困難性卻是顯而易見的。隨著中西文化交流的逐步推進(jìn),越來越多的學(xué)者開始關(guān)注稱謂語的翻譯研究。中西方稱謂系統(tǒng)差異巨大,這就使得漢語稱謂語的英譯變得困難重重�！都t樓夢(mèng)》是中國(guó)古典文學(xué)中的一顆璀璨明珠,在這部描寫中國(guó)封建社會(huì)貴族世家的小說中,各種人物在語言交際過程中使用的稱謂語豐富多彩,所遵循的規(guī)則或者說使用的影響因素也繁雜多變,從而使其成為了稱謂語翻譯研究的絕佳語料。 語境對(duì)翻譯的影響毋庸置疑。沒有語境,便沒有翻譯,它們之間的關(guān)系密切,語境不僅有利于譯者理解原文,對(duì)譯者選擇譯文也有一定影響。在這個(gè)過程中,譯者首先需要理解源語語境,再用最切近的語言翻譯,使其符合譯入語語境,從而為譯文讀者構(gòu)建出最能傳達(dá)原文意義,同時(shí)又最有利于譯文讀者理解的對(duì)等語境。 盡管許多學(xué)者對(duì)《紅樓夢(mèng)》譯作進(jìn)行過多方面的研究,但是稱謂語的翻譯卻很少涉及,更少的是從語境和翻譯之間的關(guān)系進(jìn)行深入探究,本文為《紅樓夢(mèng)》翻譯研究注入了新的活力。作者運(yùn)用語境對(duì)翻譯的影響,著重從言內(nèi)語境、情景語境和文化語境探討楊譯《紅樓夢(mèng)》的稱謂語翻譯,利用大量的實(shí)例分析,試圖了解其稱謂語翻譯的指導(dǎo)原則和翻譯技巧,為稱謂語及其翻譯研究提供了一個(gè)新的視角。 通過研究,作者發(fā)現(xiàn),只有符合源語語境和譯入語語境的翻譯,才是最佳翻譯,并且總結(jié)了楊憲益夫婦的兩大翻譯技巧,即直譯和意譯,希望為其他譯者提供一些幫助。
[Abstract]:Appellations play an important role in interpersonal communication, but the complexity of their use and the difficulty of translation are obvious. With the gradual development of cultural exchanges between China and the West, more and more scholars begin to pay attention to the translation of address terms. The great differences between Chinese and Western appellation systems make it difficult to translate Chinese appellations into English. A Dream of Red Mansions is a bright pearl in Chinese classical literature. In this novel about the aristocratic families of the feudal society in China, The various appellations used by various characters in the process of language communication are rich and colorful, and the rules followed or the influence factors used are also complicated and varied, which makes them the best materials for the study of appellation translation. The influence of context on translation is beyond doubt. There is no context, there is no translation, there is a close relationship between them, context not only helps the translator understand the original text, but also has certain influence on the translator's choice of target text. In this process, the translator should first understand the context of the source language, then use the closest language to make it conform to the context of the target language, so that the target readers can best convey the meaning of the original text. At the same time, it is most conducive to the translation readers' understanding of the equivalent context. Although many scholars have carried out many studies on the translation of A Dream of Red Mansions, the translation of appellations is seldom involved, much less from the perspective of the relationship between context and translation. This paper infuses new vitality into the translation study of A Dream of Red Mansions. Using the influence of context on translation, the author focuses on the translation of address terms in Yang's Translation of A Dream of Red Mansions from the perspective of intra linguistic context, situational context and cultural context, and tries to understand the guiding principles and translation techniques of his translation of address terms by using a large number of examples. It provides a new perspective for the study of appellation and its translation. Through the study, the author finds that only the source context and the target context are the best ones, and sums up the Yang Xianyi couple's two major translation skills, namely literal translation and free translation, in order to provide some help for other translators.
